I feel that I am more of a universal soul who has experienced many paths .. and have found truth in many forms.

Daily Insight – It’s Just not in the Cards

As I shuffle my Vision Quest deck this morning and ask what the day has in store for us .. I lay down 3 cards … and then another… and another and one more.. so now I have six cards laid out across my desk. I scan across the cards looking for the insight that I am to share with you today and I hear a voice softly whisper … “It’s not in the cards, you seek is already with you.. it is implanted in your knowing already… you just have to trust what you already, instinctively know”
So there you have it … today’s insight.

It is one of the hardest things to do.. trusting yourself.. your abilities and the knowledge you instinctively carry inside yourself.

We always want to question that gut feeling and ask .. what if I’m wrong.

Today’s message is … TRUST

Magical Moments

I am having a really odd.. yet wonderful day today. I just have to share my experience this morning…

So,  get this.. first off right out of my house I see the 2 deer in my back yard..

As I am typing up my daily blog .. today about the deer.. I finish the blog.. turn to look out

my window and 2 rabbits are out there

along with about 6 or more different birds..

lol.. I have meditation music playing in the background …  I grab my camera and snap a couple of pics of the rabbits … so I plug my camera back up to the computer to upload the rabbit photos off my camera and I hear this crow sounding off.. I thought … hmmmmmmm is that in my music? so turned around to double check and nope there are 2 crow cousins out there now! I’m starting to feel like snow white in the magical forest this morning!! lol..

Oh and lets not forget this Mocking bird that popped in to say hello as I was taking pictures of the Crows

and one last note: while I was typing this story up… I paused to tell my story to a co-worker friend and right as I started my story a dove flew onto my window ledge looking right inside .. straight at us.. lol.. my friend stopped in her tracks to say.. “well hello there!”

Giggles… looking forward to what’s next!

Oh Deer!

This morning as I was taking out the garbage before going to work.. I met my neighbor in the driveway .. she was crouched down looking toward my backyard. Softly she spoke and said to me… there are two deer just over there. I glanced over and this is what I saw. 🙂

These two young deer starring right back at me.. watching and waiting to see what I would do.  Always having my camera in hand, I slowly unzipped my camera bag… snapped a couple of shots and then very quietly and slowly made my way around the other side of the house hoping to get a closer look. So gentle they are. Something about them brings feels of peace and softness to my heart. So for today’s wise words I give you the Deer Totem:

Deer teaches us to use the power of gentleness to touch the hearts and minds of wounded beings who are in our lives.

Don’t push towards change in others, rather gently nudge them in right direction with the love that comes from a Deer totem.

When a Deer totem shows up in your life, a new innocence and freshness is about to be awakened. There is going to be a gentle lure of new adventures. There will  be an opportunity to express the gentle love that will open new doors for you.

Deer folk carry the message of purity of purpose; of walking in the light to dispel shadows. They know the work that they must do, and go about that work with no fanfare and no need for personal glory or recognition.

There are no shadows about deer; no ulterior motives; no hidden agendas; no lies or misrepresentations, and it is not possible for deer to knowingly hurt anyone or anything.

Nothing can cause deer to change its path. There may be many who continually throw roadblocks in the way; deer steps over them or goes around them. Many give deer dozens of reasons why a thing won’t work, but it only listens politely and then continues on. Deer people know what they must do, and will not be turned from its mission.

Road Block Ahead!

Life will strategically place many road blocks before you as you travel through life…

The question of the day is: Will you allow that road block to stop you or will you find a way around it and continue your journey despite the road block?

It’s a test of how much you want whatever it is that is on the other side of that road block. If you want to continue down that road bad enough… then you will find a way. If it doesn’t matter so much, then you will probably just turn around and head in another direction or like some.. just stop where you are and go no further.

You always have a choice.

I like to approach the road blocks of my life like a game… not meaning I don’t take it seriously .. but more so on the idea and strategy of how I will find my way around the obstacle course.

From early on in my life, I have had people say that I couldn’t do this or that and people who just did not believe in me and my abilities. Others have always wanted to put me in some sort of box … and their thoughts were that I couldn’t or shouldn’t do anything outside their little boxes.

I took that as a challenge and pushed myself to do more, learn more and become more. I do this for myself .. not for others. It makes me feel good when I have moved out of my comfort zone and beyond obstacles .. .into a better place.

It doesn’t matter the size of the road block or obstacle that is before you .. what matters is how you approach this blockage and how you manage your life to move past it.

The Dragon’s Way

In honor of the Fire Breathing Dragon piece I just finished in stained glass … I thought I would share with you also this dragon poem I wrote a few years ago.

Here’s the finished panel and the poem below

The Way of the Dragon

It is the dragon’s way
Be silent and listen to what he has to say

In the darkness of the night 
He enters into your dreams and takes you on a mystical flight

His passions burn inside, full of desire
He is filled with mystical kind of power
His only release is within his fire

He soars through the night in a blaze
His memory, it will stay with you for days

There, that look in his eyes
You can see his soul and oh how it cries

A giant in the sky he may be
But when it comes to love, he’s as gentle as can be

Swiftly he flies down from above
Bringing you the gift of his dragon love

He says from his heart, dear lady have my heart to hold
It will keep you warm when the days grow cold

Filled with the wisdom of ancient ages
Nothing will stop him, not even cold bar cages.  

He speaks with a gentle command
Come now and listen as I sing
I’ll comfort you and keep you safe within my wings

I’ll fight off all your worries and all your fears
I’ll be your protector throughout the years

I am your dragon and this is my dragon way
To watch over and protect you every night and every day.

The Star

The Star

The Star reminds us of our own talents and that we should learn to share them freely with the universe.  Talent does not always come in the shape of playing any particular instrument, singing, painting, sculpting or any of that which many consider “talent”. For some their gift of talent comes from being able to listen or from the ability to comfort others, it may come from the ability to stand up for those who can’t or are afraid to do so, it may even come from the ability to lighten a room by the energy you share with others. We are all gifted with a talent of some kind and none more important than another.

What ever it is you are good at.. share it with the world..  whether it be gardening, singing, making others feel good, comforting others, cooking, cleaning, designing… it does not matter the gift as long as you share it .. use it and let it shine!

June’s Full Moon

Happy Full Moon to everyone!!

Be sure and take a few minutes at least to step out in the moonlight and absorb some of it’s magical energies. Pay attention to your dreams during the full moon as well.. there are answers to your questions there.

June’s Full Moon is known as The Lover’s Moon also known as the Strawberry or Rose Moon, the Lover’s Moon brings with it energy for love, marriage, and success. Is it any wonder that in some traditions this Moon is called the Honey Moon? This is a time to nurture your garden and marvel at its beauty and abundance. If you have taken that new job, now is the time to make sure you have everything running smoothly. And you might want to keep your eyes open to see how you can move into a more desirable position.

The Towhee Medicine

This morning I was visited by an Eastern Towhee.. the first time I’ve seen this fellow at my feeder. I had to search the bird index to figure out what he was. Here’s some info I found on him and his medicine:

Towhee represents a time of utmost persistence and confidence. She teaches ways to uncover what is hidden. She shows the value of activity and progressing forward, even if it means taking steps backward. She shows how to maneuver in a way to keep going. Don’t give up. When Towhee appears there may something else you are missing and will show how to go over things with a new perspective. She uses resourcefulness and ingenuity to aid in revealing what is necessary. Is it time to voice your opinion? She shows the power in keeping feet on the ground and balancing energy and time that is spent on activities. Towhee’s medicine includes being quiet,

secretive and subdued when needed as well as being forthright, loud and defensive when it is appropriate. She shows how to balance such passive/aggressive properties. The time period for Towhee’s lesson span about 2 weeks. Be aware of situations where you can implement her wisdom for she will present you with the best course of action.

The House Sparrow

Here’s another little stinker I’ve been playing tag with this morning… he has been to my window feeder more time than I can count and so I’ve been trying to capture a photo of him for nearly 3 hours before finally succeeding! Whew … ok now this is the second bird this morning both with a message of singing our song… I reckon Spirit might be trying to me something this time around :-)

The sparrow is one of the most common birds around, yet it has flourished when other species have failed.

The Brown Thrush

This morning I have been playing hide and seek with a Brown Thrush or Brown Thrasher …. ok so he kept hiding while I was seeking to snag a photo …lol

Alignment

The time is coming.. I’m sure you’ve heard about the alignment of the planets that will be taking place this year … but have you given much thought to your own alignment?

During the next several months your life may take some unexpected turns and things may seem to be upside down or out of line for a while. Keep this thought in mind…  In order for you to align something you must first take it out of the lineup to get it into its new position.

This will be taking place for most and in some unusual ways. Know that the out of line feeling is just temporary and that you will soon be back in alignment and more on path that ever before.

Imagine what happens when you rearrange your livingroom. You take everything out of it’s normal position.. try it out in a few different angles and positions until you find just the right fit…. and then everything gets it’s new home.. new space and balance is once again restored with a renewed feeling all together.

THAT is exactly whats coming.. are you ready?

Alignment Ceremony

Funny how just a comment can set a whole series of events in motion. I must tell the whole story because … well I am RavenTALKER of course and so staying true to my name I’m going to tell it all! hahahahahahaha

It all started when I saw a friend post the statement “Negativity Be Gone!” .. I responded that she needed to smudge. She then replied back wanting to know what smudge was and how to use it. I private messaged her all the details and since the conversation came up .. I grabbed a bit of smudge from my desk and smudged myself … a little smudging never hurt anyone  .

I went on about my evening chores and as it was nearly time for bed, I went downstairs to take my night time shower… Instead of the regular shower I took a more ceremonial shower that I call a “cleansing bath”. I’ll explain these things at the end of my post.

Out of the shower I was all ready for bed… I was urged to drink a considerable amount of water by Spirit and so I grabbed a 16 oz bottle of water and chugged nearly the whole thing down and got into bed. Spirit still had more for me to do… so I got up once again and picked up a small bottle of lavender essential oil that sits on my bedside table…  I dabbed a bit of the oil on my forehead, on the top of my head and then on each wrist, the arch of each foot and then in the palm of each hand. Why did I do all of this? I have no idea other than I was guided to do so.

Ok so am I ready for bed now? NOPE! I have on my bedside table several crystals. I first picked up 2 crystal necklaces I have laying there, one amethyst and one rose quartz… I wrapped them around my wrists like bracelets but thought.. that will drive me nuts… so I took them off and slid them inside my pillow. I then arranged some of the crystals on my table in a way that I was guided to arrange them. I have no real idea why the position of each just kept moving them around until I felt satisfied that they were where they needed to be.

OKAY… now am I ready for bed??? YES! Whew..

Right away as I lay my head onto the pillow, visions began rolling in.

I am in a ceremony of some sort and I will now describe to you what happened:

There is a large circle with many people sitting around it’s edge. Inside the circle is a fire and a man dancing in a very spastic like inside. There are 2 guys with long poles also inside the circle with the dancing medicine man. Each man stands at the center point of the fire on each side as the medicine man dances between them. He seems to be in a rhythmic trance as we dances very wildly between the two guys with the long poles…. Now as he dances near one guy .. the man will slam the pole to the ground making a very loud thunderous noise and the medicine man will dance to the other and the same thing happens as the medicine man nears the guy with the pole.. he slams it down creating a loud thunderous noise. It is as if the pole symbolize lightning and as the medicine man draws near each guy they slam the pole to the ground to symbolize the lightning strike…. this goes on for quite some time until finally the medicine mans rhythms seem to be less wild and more balanced in the center of the two holding the poles… which make him centered in front of me. I am sitting at the 11 o’clock position of the north point of the circle. I am dressed in a natural linen fabric and have white dots painted down the center of my body from my head .. past my belly button.  The medicine man now starts dancing toward me and back toward the fire.. back and fourth.. back and fourth … again for some time. The medicine man now turns to face the fire and swished his arms from behind him up and toward the fire and into the air. He does this for a while and at the end of the dance he walks over to me and places his hand on the top of my head… the odd thing was that his hand seemed to glow as if he carried fire in his hand… but there was no physical fire there. The ceremony was now complete but everyone continued sitting in the circle in meditation for sometime through the night.

I was told that this was an alignment ceremony getting me ready for the next phase of alignment.

I love how spirit works and how you just never know when wonderful gifts like this will come along.

Many think I am weird and even more so because I speak freely about the visions that I see. I am not worried about what others think of me and my experiences. I feel these experiences.. these visions are a gift and gifts are for sharing. I may be a bit odd and weird but I enjoy every minute of it!

*Smudging: smudging is a way of cleansing yourself, your space or area and your possessions or tools with herbal smoke. Most commonly used is sage but you can add to the mix many herbs depending on what you are cleansing.. the reason for cleansing or just preferences. Sweetgrass, lavender, tobacco are also common additions used in making smudge.

*Ceremonial/Ritual  Bath:  Depending on reason/purpose for the bath, herbal water may be used and meditation also takes place .. this is another way of cleansing before ritual or ceremony.

Daily Insight – May 10th

Son of Earth: Enjoy the fruits of your labor, give yourself a good pat on the back for a job well done. Be proud of your accomplishments.. large and small… physical and spiritual.

Fear:  First off be aware that you are NOT your fear. We all carry fear around with us in one form or another. We must take a look at the larger picture of our fears and put them in their place. See through your fears completely and they dissolve on their own.

Insight: With inner balance you can now act decisively. Confidently make decisions on thoughts you have had for a long time. Clarity enables you to throw away the bad and useless and make good of the useful and needed things in your life.

Daily Insight – The Star

The star reminds us of our own gifts, whatever they may be. Whether is its a specific artistic skill or something like the skill of listening or giving care to others .. share your talents without holding back and without expectations or without strings attached and the life force of energy will flow freely from you and be returned equally. The more you share .. the more is returned.

You have specific gifts for a reason .. and that reason is to share it with others.
There is no gift or talent too small.. none more valuable than the other.

What I Am and What I’m Not

I was watching America’s Got Talent and there were a couple of Father-Daughter acts and they both brought me straight to tears. I envy the closeness and the support they all had for each other. I come from a family where no one was to succeed. Dream all you want, your dreams are silly and they will never come true. I even witnessed my own mother say to my children how their dreams were stupid and they would never come true. I was in shock and couldn’t believe my ears, even though I knew how she was and that she had been the same way with me through all my years growing up. It was still ever so shocking to hear her say these words to my own children. I would have hoped that she would want more for them.

Growing up I often heard my mother and my aunts always talking negative about everyone. Rarely did they ever speak positively about anyone or any thing. Remarks would be made to myself and my cousins about failure and not living up to our hopes and dreams and that’s all they would ever be.. just hopes and dreams. My mother would also say directly to me how jealous she was over mine and my father’s connection. She hated the attention he would give me and she made it well known quite often. While my father was really only concerned with his own needs… sure he would play games with me when he was around but that was it…. no real talks .. no real conversations. He was good at the fun stuff but that’s where it all ended. No real guidance or support.  So, yes, I am very envious of those kids with their attentive, caring and thoughtful parents.. parents that inspire and support their children’s dreams.

At the end of the day though I can say without doubt that because of how I was raised…. I am who I am today. Determined to prove the naysayers wrong.

Let me explain:

I may not be the best painter
I may not be the best  writer
I may not be the best stained glass artist
I may not be the best photographer
I may not be the best at anything I do ….

BUT…….

I am THE BEST at not giving up
I am THE BEST at dreaming
I am THE BEST at hoping
I am THE BEST at trying again and again
I am THE BEST at loving
I am THE BEST at trying new things
I am THE BEST at overcoming my own fears
I am THE BEST at BEING ME!

Inside Each of Us

Inside each of us is a song .. each custom fit to who we are. I take that back…  there’s not just one single song .. there are many .. each one custom designed for our every need.

There is the song that comforts us
The song that fills us with love
The song that fills our spirit with joy
The song that helps us express our sorrows
The song that makes us laugh
The song that entertains our inner child
The song that motivates us and gets us moving…. and the list goes on.

My message here tonight is that you get to know each of your songs and when it is time to sing .. let them be heard .. if by no one else but yourself. Sing your songs … let the vibrations heal you and help you through whatever the moment brings. Your songs are there for a reason… allow them do work their magic through you. Don’t be afraid of your own voice.. sing and sing it loud!

Let’s Get Inspired

Let’s forget complexity and structure and just ALLOW ourselves to be inspired.

Today we are so busy doing and doing .. most often, just spinning our wheels going nowhere! We forget what it’s like to be inspired. Some may not even know how that feels or what might inspire them.

It doesn’t have to be difficult or complex.. inspiration can come from anywhere!

here are just a few examples:

~waking up to a beautiful sunny day
~the sound of your children playing
~a quote
~kindness from a stranger
~a smile
~a thought
~a dream
~the way the sun glistens on the morning grass
~reflections on the lake
~laughter
~love
~art
~other people
~anger
~determination
~sadness
~strength
~weakness
~tears

You see there is no limit to what can inspire as long as you are allowing yourself to be so.
What you are inspired to do in reaction is also limitless.

Allow yourself to be inspired today and do it! Follow it through!

Even if you don’t finish your inspired task.. at least you began!

Happy To Be…

 

I share with you tonight a message from Little Crow

 

Perched high up in the trees today I was watching a crowd of people go by and noticed that not many of them seemed to be very happy. There weren’t very many smiles on their faces, no spring in their steps and overall they just looked a bit preoccupied and gloomy.

I asked Grandfather Crow why were the people like that and he said, “they are not living as themselves”.

“What ever do you mean by that, Grandfather?”, I asked.

So many of them live through the eyes of others instead of living through their own eyes. They are not being who they were born to be.

Look at our other feathered cousins for a moment. The owl does not live all day thinking I wish I were a crane and the bluebird does not live all day thinking about how to turn his blue feathers to red.

The owl was born to be an owl and so lives as an owl. The Bluebird was born a bluebird and lives as a bluebird.

The owl is not wishing for longer legs and the bluebird is not wishing for feathers of any other color than his own.

One owl does not tell another owl how to fly, hunt or hoot and the bluebird does not compare his life to that of the redbird. They are who they were born to be.

It does not even enter their minds that they should be or want to be any different than who they are. They are happy being themselves.

The wren sings as loud as the wren can sing because it was born to do so and does not wish for another voice or even try to change it’s voice… it is perfectly happy with the voice it was given and uses it to the best of its ability.

Most people don’t live this way, Little Crow.. instead they allow outsiders to tell them how they should be, who they should be and how to act and live… they have forgotten who they were born to be. This makes them seem sad. If they can find themselves again you will see the changes in their whole being. The spring will be back in their step, smiles upon their faces and hope and love will fill their hearts. Until then, Little Crow.. I am afraid that people will continue as you saw them today.

Inside This Circle


Inside this circle the transformation begins
the drums beating out a rhythmic sound
Feel the magic as it vibrates up from this sacred ground

With great intent we enter into a realm of light
Dancing until the day becomes night

From what we once were to what we shall become
The ancient voices begin to hum

Our ancestors gather from far and near
Whispering change upon our ear

Nudging us forward in a positive light
Dancing to and fro with all our might

Our souls begin to sing a new song

Where to Begin…

Okay, so I have been sitting here thinking I really need to post a blog today, but what on Earth will I talk about today?

Feeling that draw to my blog space.. feeling an incredible urge to get some words down, but then not having a clue where to start and what to blog about.

I heard a little voice whisper… “Just Start”  and with that being said I clicked “New Post”.

So here we are .. and now just like magic I have my topic and I am blogging away. What do you mean you have no clue what I’m even blogging about???

It’s all about taking that first step and BEGINNING. Whatever task it is that lies before you .. you have to just begin it! Take that necessary action to start the wheels in motion. Move from thinking about it to actually doing it and all else will simply fall into place.

To dream, think and to plan is great.. but without the physical activity of DOING… you still have NOTHING. It’s just a dream, a plan or a thought.

Just as the Robin can’t learn to fly til it takes that first step out of the nest… we won’t know what we are capable of doing til we take that first step toward our goals.

Get out there and MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Something More…

Singing my song, whistling a tune.. asking the fairies to show me the way … I roam the green grass filled with patches of clover in search of those with leaves of 4. Each one I find I thank my wee little friends and search on for yet another. I gather those with leaves half chewed… leaves large, medium and small… I gather them all.

I stopped for a moment and smiled when this little one came into sight.

This one is a fully grown 3 leaf clover who has begun to grown 1 more. Unafraid to change, not trying to fit in with the others… this clover wants to be something more. So with all it’s might it digs down deep within the soil and gathers the strength and ability to make that change happen. This clover is now something quite different… something fabulously more!

In the Garden of Dreams

Most when they see this particular plant only see a random weed growing in their garden, messing up the landscape of their smooth cut, green grass.

When I see this plant I think of wishes and dreams coming true.

As a child I picked many a dandelion and with all the breath I could muster, I would blow and blow and blow, hoping to blow off every seed so that my wishes would come true. If ever I was successful in blowing off every seed, I truly knew that those wishes would indeed be granted.

At the first sign of Spring I would pick every dandelion I could find… one after another, blowing off every seed that I could. If unsuccessful once, then I’d find another and continue blowing and continue wishing. I believed that I could do it and with that belief I kept going.

I always felt that my dreams were within reach as long as I kept trying.

That’s the beauty of seeing the world through the eyes of a child.

May today you see the world through the eyes of a child as well and know that as long as you keep trying, your goals, your wishes and your dreams are within reach.

No Longer the Seeker

Today while grinding some of my stained glass for a project I’m working on a thought came to mind… My thoughts were of how I was feeling at that very moment and about where I am right now in my life. I reflected for a moment about where I’ve come from and of the road that has brought me to right now.

I pondered all the seeking that I have done along the road and then thought …
“hmmmmm … what is it that I seek now?”

I couldn’t think of a single thing. (Which surprised me!)

It’s not that I don’t have anything left to learn.. it’s more so that I have found ME!

I found my place in this life and my purpose.. I have found what fills me and I have found my own inner happiness.

No longer do I feel that limbo, unknowing of where my road leads and of who I am or suppose to be.

I still have no idea where my road will go.. I’m just not so worried about it anymore.  Some may say that just comes with age.. where ever it came from, I don’t care. I just know that I am finally at peace inside myself. I am no longer afraid of what if and what’s next and that not knowing of the days to come. I take each day as it is and as it comes. No longer stressing daily of “OMG.. I need to know every step.. every turn.. every obstacle that may or may not be coming!”.

Today I am happy in LIVING LIFE.. enjoying all moments large and small.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.. that feels soooooooo good!

Good Morning Mr. Bluebird!

It’s a beautiful sunny Sunday morning and I get a greeting from my dear friend the Bluebird! As soon as I saw him fly across the backyard I ran for my camera hoping he would sit still long enough for a photo or two!

Here’s a bit of info on the bluebird from linsdomian.com:

Bluebird is a reminder that you are born to happiness and fulfillment, but you can sometimes get so wrapped up in everyday things, that happiness seems rare. Bluebird reminds you to take time to enjoy yourself.

Now Staring… The Starling!

So here’s a bit of wisdom from our friend the Starling …

Starling teaches how to behave within a group setting – how to be effective and assertive without becoming a bully. Communication is important to Starling people; however, you must be careful what you say, for people may take it incorrectly or blow it out of proportion. Watch your own sensitivity to other’s words. Dream Analysis

I had a really odd dream the other night and thought I would share along with my analogy at the end.

The dream:
A man shot me many times over and over again. There were a bunch of me’s.  This man came up to me in a drive way … shot me at extremely close range  (like so close he was nearly touching me) several times and on parts of my body that I wouldn’t die right away… and it wouldn’t be messy..  he shot me in a way that I would slowly bleed out… instead of dying instantly. I bled and I died… then it was like ground hog day and there I was again and he repeated… every time shooting me in the same way  up close but in different places on my body…

As he was planning his shots he would look up at me as if he was wondering if this spot or that would finally do the job.  It was like the different me’s were different parts of me or different aspects of me… like I was split in to a certain amount of layers. I did not count how many times this happened but it felt like at least half a dozen times.

One the last round I just laid there and he walked away. When he was gone I raised up and thought to myself  “good you are finally done now”. I was still there and still living. He had tried so many times and yet I kept coming back to life and living again and again. No words were even said… there was no interaction between us. Only me looking at him and watching him shoot me and him looking up at me into my eyes and wondering to himself if this round would be the last round. I could tell he was trying to work out in his own mind which were the best spots to shoot me that would actually make me dead without instantly killing me.

I could feel the cold, hard concrete beneath me and I could feel the blood leaving my body and draining down the pavement. I felt nothing toward this man, no emotion .. no feelings at all.. no love nor hate.. just nothing .. he was just there trying to kill me and no matter how many times he tried… I went down but always came back.

My analogy:
Do what you will to me but you’re not the one who will end me.. this is not how I will end. I continue to live… no matter what you do.. where you hit me or how many time you come back to do it again.  I will survive this! I choose to live!

Much more can be analyzed here but the this is the overall meaning for me. With all dreams there are intricate details that can be analyzed more specifically… but remember it is YOUR dream and it matters most how YOU felt about the dream. Many people will give different thoughts of interpretation based upon how they feel about the events you had. Getting an opinion of others can be helpful and maybe light a window of thought that you didn’t realize was there but still it is most important how YOU felt. How others analyze your dream is just opinion based on their own experiences. Trust your own feelings when it comes to your dreams.

It’s History

IMG_8776What happened yesterday is now in the past… lets work on today and tomorrow.

One of the hardest things to overcome is past events.

It has left it’s mark on us and imprinted in our minds … but the past is history.. it’s not right now.. right here or today. It’s done. It’s gone. It’s HISTORY!

The past is something that cannot be changed no matter how many times we relive it in our minds and no matter how many times we try to reword it or replay it’s many different scenarios that we would have liked to have seen happened.

Live for today and tomorrow.. live right here and now and move forward with what you have. When you live in the past,  you stall your living. Your future is put on hold and you find yourself in limbo. Stuck in the mud of yesterday with a stalled engine and no energy to pull yourself out of that muck!

It’s pointless really … allow yourself to realize this and move forward. Waste no more time on yesterday and instead invest in right now.

It’s time to turn around and look ahead .. march forward with the lessons learned to make right now and the days to come the best that you can.

Daily Insight

For today’s insight I draw 4 cards from the Vision Quest Deck…. (hmmmmmmmmm looking over at my cards laid out on the table there are only 3 …. looks like Spirit asks me to draw another) ok now.. YES 4 cards are now drawn!

Abundance: An endeavor that you have taken on has come to its full potential. The rewards from your hard work have been reaped or will be very soon. The harvest has filled the root cellar and now there is a time of emptying to make room for the next great harvest. You may feel the void as the emptiness takes place but don’t worry … it will be filled again naturally.

Sensuality: Be aware of your impact on others and act responsibly. Respect the vulnerability of others and know the boundaries. Use your intuitive gifts to guide you in a respectful manner. Doing this you honor others and yourself.

Stress: Life reflects what is going on internally. When life gets too chaotic and stressful take some time to step away and reflect… time is needed to find yourself again. Do what you know is right for the right reasons. Be mindful of how you react to your surroundings as well as how you react to your own inner knowing. Fighting against yourself gains you nothing but more stress and anxiety.

Courage: Courage is not just about being strong when tragedy and drama reign but also when you find that strength inside to follow your dreams and fulfill your destiny. Taking the necessary steps forward into the unknown takes great courage. You have it inside you to create greatness and manifest your dreams, your goals and whatever else you wish. Use this boldness to continue walking forward and you will find that your manifestations will seem to arise with ease.

When the Planets Line Up

This morning I had a vision and I’m still pondering the full meaning…

I was at some foreign event …. like in Africa,Australia or Mexico… the landscape was very dry and dusty.. not much greenery going on… just loads of dirt. I was there to guard and take photos so I was given this really long, huge gun and so I tried carrying both around with me while I was readying myself to take photos of the event. No idea what the event was I don’t think the event was the “real” point of me being there.

As  I was looking for a good vantage point to take photos I saw through a window tons of hummingbirds gathered in one area… they were all over the place! So I moved people out of my way… put the gun down saying I don’t need that thing and began taking photos. All the while I kept moving around to get different vantage points to capture this moment. Everyone else was watching the event .. I was more interested in these hummingbirds and why so many were there. Along with the ordinary hummingbirds were a handful of different rare hummingbirds as well. This amazed me and I was wondering why no one else was even concerned or noticing the hummingbirds.

Now a second even was taking place and as I was moving toward the second event to take photos of it I looked up and it looked as though there were 2 suns in the sky right next to each other. I thought it was my eyes playing tricks on me so I would look away and refocus again and again until I admitted to myself that yes indeed it does look like 2 suns are in the sky. Me with my camera in hand, grabbed it and began to focus to take photos .. anyone who has ever tried taking pics of the sun knows how hard that is to focus because of the brightness of the sun. So I fiddled and focused again and again to get a good shot and then realized it wasn’t two suns it was planets.

What I was seeing was lots of planets and as my camera kept refocusing on this event I saw more and more planets move into alignment. The events going on behind me continued as people were distracted by whatever that was and not paying one bit of attention to the miracle that was going on in the sky above us. It was absolutely amazing to see. All of the planets were perfectly falling right into alignment.

The Fallen One

The Fallen One … that would be me.

I have fallen right under his spell
It’s in his eyes, his touch and his smile
From the very first moment we met… I fell.

It’s a magic like no other I’ve ever known
I’m quite taken and can barely breathe

Through raven eyes I see the past, the present and the times to come..
Looking beyond the veil into the dream world where spirits dance
Seeing what others miss, Oh what fun!

With raven ears I hear the whispers from ancient times.
The sounds of Mother Earth that to most are unheard.

With raven wings I soar the great blue heavens above

Time for Learning

It is time now to broaden your knowledge… be it on a particular subject of interest… be it a craft or hobby or be it learning more about the people around you … take the time to increase your knowing.

Take time to listen to the stories of other people’s lives.

Take time to learn more about the world around you…

Take time to understand things you thought you already understood.

There is more to know than what you think is obvious. There is the underlying truth beyond what you see. Open yourself up to understanding with all of your senses and you will find there is so much more to know. There will be an understanding that you did not even realize existed.

There will be some that understand this message fully and then there will be those who just don’t get it. Which are you?

When Creating For Others

Be sure that when you are creating pieces of art or craft items for others that you feel good yourself when doing the work. Your energy goes into everything you create and so when that item gets a new owner .. not only do they have your creation they also have a bit of your energy. You want to make sure that they receive good, healing and happy energy along with the item and not cruddy, negative or sick energy.

If you feel bad, if you are angry, depressed, hurt, sore, achy or any of the sort then that energy will go into whatever you are doing at the time. Be aware of your own feelings when creating or doing anything.

It’s ok to have a bad or off day… just be aware of what you are doing and how you feel .. whether realted or not that energy is there and it DOES go into whatever it is you are doing… even if you are simply cooking a meal.

Here are a few things you may NOT have known about the Groundhog!

A very difficult and powerful totem to have,

Daily Insight – Growth

Once you begin to trust in your own growth, you’ll become creative in new fulfilling ways.
Think about the leaves and blossoms inside every tree as they lay dormant through the winter… we do not see them nor does the tree but we know they are there. Spring arrives and suddenly the world turns green again with new growth abound!

Have patience and faith in your own inner strength and abilities and before you know it, you will blossom as the trees do in Spring with new growth pouring out all over the place!

Balance is the next key to your growth. A loving connection to your real being will help center you now. There will be no need to force anything into being. The flow of life itself will move you when needed and everything will turn out as it should be.

NOTE: You still must do what is needed to reach whatever goal it is you have in mind.. you must continue moving forward… you just don’t need to force things into being.

The Box of Love

Valentine’s Day is coming up and so I wanted to take a moment to share with you something I have done for friends in previous years to spread the love   A few years ago I got the idea to give a whole years worth of love on Valentine’s Day …. So I thought how on Earth  will I pull that off!

So it dawned on me … I started collecting motivational and inspirational quotes along with a few funny and odd bits  of wisdom, jokes or whatever it was I liked…

I collected 365 sayings … I printed off 20 sets of these 365 sayings and began the process of cutting them all up in strips to place them inside a decorative box … with a tag that says …  A Year of Warm Hugs and Wishes

I found the boxes at the Dollar Tree for $1 each …. Not a ton of money invested.. just loads of time!

Daily Insight – Love

What can I say that has not been said before when it comes to love. It is that one thing we are all in search of and yet so few feel like they have found true love.

Bells, whistles, lightning and thunder are suppose to be heard when that love walks into your life… but is this true?

YES!!! Yes it is very true.

Your entire being knows when that other half of your soul stands before you. Words or actions will not be needed for the souls communicate on a level that few understand.

Magical is another word used often to describe the feeling of true love. I have to agree but also I should say that one need not expect to have that “magical” feeling every moment of every day. The magic is  always there but in the chores of living day to day other things blur the magic and while it is there.. it may be unseen or felt less than other moments at times. This is ok.. this is how it should be.. for the magic is never gone… it’s just not always front and center.

Be sure and let those you love know it every day. If you want a magical love life then you have to play a part in making sure the magic is front and center.. don’t allow life’s day to day challenges blur the magic that lives within your bond.

It’s the small things that for me bring that magic back to the surface… like looking over at my husband and as he turns his focus and looks back at me and that smile of his takes form… A magic stirs inside me and I bubble over with how very much I love him. Late night cuddles and morning kisses .. sigh… Preparing meals together… the love and care that goes into every action. These are just a few of the things that normally may go without notice but for me these are the moments I look forward to.

Our Teachers

I was thinking about this statement and for a moment and began to reflect back on various people that have come and gone in my life and what I might have learned from each of them. Even those who came and left in a moment there was something to be learned. It doesn’t matter the length of time someone is in your life, they all offer something to be learned. Here are a few examples of my own:

  • The beggar on the street teaches us that everything we have can be gone in a flash. Cherish what you have every moment that you have it.
  • Those we teach remind us of how important knowledge can be.
  • Children show us the wonders of the world and how imagination, wonder and magic live in every moment that we allow it to be.
  • Those “Happy” folks that are always smiling, always cheerful – teach us that life is what we make it.
  • Those unhappy people who are always negative, always gloomy, always complaining – they make us appreciate the good days. They make us glad that we are not them!
  • Mothers show us what unconditional love looks like.

These are just a few examples of what we can learn from others.. the list is never-ending. Today I ask that you look at the world you live in and the people in it, a little bit differently. Ask yourself what lessons can be learned and how that person has influenced your life today.

Watch Me!

This is what I have done all my life. In fact, I strive on proving others wrong when it comes to what I can and can’t do. It  fuels me in a way that no obstacle is too big.. nothing shall get in my way .. I become this super hero of whatever it is I’m about to take on and so I leap tall buildings and scale the mountains before me to show the evil doubter that “Yes indeed, I CAN!“.

It is a great feeling to transform a can’t into a DONE!

You are suddenly filled with a sense of pride and well being. At that moment you are truly happy inside and out. It is euphoric and feels oh so good to be alive. Not only did you show others that you COULD .. you showed yourself that you could do it and that is far more important and rewarding.

Today’s message: Don’t let fear and doubt fill your mind.. Go at life with a CAN DO attitude and watch as the doors to possibilities continue to open right before you.

The Story You May or May Not Know


There is a story inside me you may or may not know
I’ll try to explain it with a bit of rhyming flow.

This story runs deep, straight to the core
It begs for you to know me just a little bit more.

From my childhood to this adult like life
The girl, the friend, the lover, the mother and the wife.

I’ve been through the jungle and survived many a war
I’ve been lost but also found what I was looking for.

I’ve been held captive and I’ve known what it’s like to soar
I’ve found the keys and unlocked some doors.

Some right, some wrong
But through it all I have become ever so strong.

At times all I wanted to do was flee
But that wasn’t really me.

I’ve learned to conquer many of my fears
It has taken lots of practice and many years.

But here I am today as I stand
Offering you a welcoming hand.

Come into my world and see what I see
You’ll get a little glimpse of what it’s like to be me.

The many hats that I wear
The way it feels when people give you that stare.

The love that I give and the friends that I gain
And lets not forget how much fun it is when we dance in the rain!

From my hand to yours

Daily Insight – The Energy of Emotions

Be careful not to cling to any emotion… allow yourself to experience emotion without fear of that emotion and without clinging to that emotion.

For instance: When one is happy, you want to hold on to that feeling for as long as you can. You push that moment into being and in doing so you also create a fear of loss with that emotion. This blocks energy from flowing freely through you and all times we need that energy flowing.

Allow happy moments to come and go at their own natural pace. The same is said for all other emotions. When you allow fear to take over you allow road blocks in your own life-spring of energy.

It is hard to let go of that control. We want so badly to keep happiness in our lives, but think about this for a moment. If you are clinging to one particular happy moment … you are blocking other emotions from flowing through you. The same again is said for other emotions…. Anger, hatred, sadness, etc.  Live in this moment .. right here .. right now.

What is done is done.. holding on to past emotions is pointless and helps no one.

On My Way There

I may not have a universal map showing me every turn that I need to take in life but I have however learned that inside me is a map all of my own and when I am on the correct road there is something inside me that knows it and I find peace in that knowing that although I may not be exactly where I wish I was.. I am on my way.
