Twin Flames is the name of this original mixed media painting on 16″ x 20″ gallery wrapped canvas.
This painting was created using 2 forms of media: acrylics and ink. The background is done in ink while the wolves are created with acrylics.
Feel the love and connection between these two souls. Singing to each other’s heart into the winds of eternity, vowing their love and devotion to each other.
Wolves mate for life. They have a family life that is more loyal and dedicated than most human relationships.

As most of you probably already know … I am a tad bit of what you might call a creative soul. {{giggles}} I can’t help myself, I am always creating something or at the very least, thinking of creating something.
After posting a photo of one my newest projects last night, someone asked “do you ever rest? and do you ever get tired?”. YEP, but resting to me is creating. Do I get tired? YEP! I am often tired but my curiosity to see the finished project and what it might look like when it’s done and the excitement of creating overrides how tired I might be.
For me, going home after work and not creating something is more tiresome than creating things. When I’m working on projects I am filled with the energy from the project, the thoughts of what will be and the process of seeing it come to life from my own hands. THAT is exciting to me and fills me with a type of energy that wipes away the tiredness from my day. There is a sense of fulfillment that comes from creating with your own hands that doesn’t come from anywhere else. To dream a project, gather all the materials, begin the creating process and then to see it finished is a feeling of pure joy for me. If you’ve never given creative projects a try, I hope that you find the time to do so at some point in your lives. Don’t worry about being perfect, don’t worry about failing, just do it. Try something and keep at it and if you don’t like what you’ve chosen, choose something else and try that. Pretty soon you might even find yourself addicted like me!

I was talking with an artist friend of mine yesterday and the conversation went into the direction of one’s idea of their own success. He felt that he wouldn’t be success until he reached a particular income level. My idea of my own success was a bit different. I’ll share with you the thoughts of how I measure my own successes:
Instead of having one singular goal I have many and I never really plan them.. I just enjoy them as they come along. Here are a few of them so you can understand what I mean:
These are the type of things that I measure my success by. If I measured only by how much money I make.. I may or may not ever see that goal. There is no way of knowing … so in the mean time … I enjoy all the other successes that come my way.

Be sure that when you are creating pieces of art or craft items for others that you feel good yourself when doing the work. Your energy goes into everything you create and so when that item gets a new owner .. not only do they have your creation they also have a bit of your energy. You want to make sure that they receive good, healing and happy energy along with the item and not cruddy, negative or sick energy.
If you feel bad, if you are angry, depressed, hurt, sore, achy or any of the sort then that energy will go into whatever you are doing at the time. Be aware of your own feelings when creating or doing anything.
It’s ok to have a bad or off day… just be aware of what you are doing and how you feel .. whether realted or not that energy is there and it DOES go into whatever it is you are doing… even if you are simply cooking a meal.

Well today I bought myself a new sketchbook since I gave my other new one away almost as soon as I had bought it yesterday….lol… oh well.. it was a good deed and I’m happy to make someone else happy. Soooooooooooo.. I had to christen my new sketchbook with some fresh new doodles…
This is Lil’Alfred he likes dropping pennies in the well just to hear them splash.. he always forgets to make a wish .. bless him.
This is Old McGuire… don’t bother making friends.. he’s harmless but also an old GROUCH! No one knows why he’s so grouchy, some say there’s a story to be told but for now all we know is that’s just the way he is.
This is Angelica … she takes after her name… always sweet and kind-hearted to everyone she meets. There is this certain glow about her that draws you in and when she floats across the land .. you become hypnotized by her… well.. by not just her beauty … but something that she carries within.

My newest additction in stained glass… I’m working on a series of life sized guitars made of stained glass …
At the moment I have them all pieced together and it’s now time to start adding the real guitar parts to them .. I’ll be adding the bridge, stop, knobs and machine heads from real guitars and then also adding strings but not real guitar strings
I’m choosing not to use real guitar strings because of effect really .. the smaller strings would never be seen if I used real ones .. so choosing a wire that is a middle of the line guage between the thickest string and the smallest…. hopefully that will turn out ok.. we will soon see.

You can get as simple or complax as you wish with your corn husk dolls…
add wings and they become angels and fairies… go dark and give them a pointy hat and a broom and they become a witch .. like I said let your imagination take you away and create something beautiful today!
