If we continue telling ourselves that we can’t and we don’t know how, we hold ourselves back and we never realize our dreams and ambitions. We have to believe we can, believe we can do it and believe we can figure it out and walk in the direction of learning, understanding and accomplishing instead of the direction of giving ourselves permission to fail.

Making Excuses & Holding Yourself Back

I don’t know how…. Oh how I hate to hear those words in today’s world with all the information available to you at your finger tips. When you say these words, you are giving yourself permission to stay right where you are. If you truly want to learn something, then you’ll find a way. If you truly want to move forward, you will. Excuses are just permission to not grow, not change, not move forward and to not be your best.

The Echo

grackle singingThat lesson that seems to keep replaying through your life. You thought you learned the lesson but there must have been something you kept missing. Like a broken record you find yourself over and over again hearing the same things. The path you walk, though further in your journey feels all too familiar… as though you have been there before. It is an echo, haunting your spirit.

What is it that is left to understand? What else is there to this lesson that you have not yet learned? How do you move beyond this stage? How do you stop…. the echo?

Step back, take another look at this road you have traveled… it’s just there .. just around that last bend you passed. Do you see it? Yeah … that’s it. Now.. wash, rinse but don’t repeat. Dry yourself off and move on.

Echos belong to the past… don’t let them interrupt your future.

The Meadowlark awakens a song within
Oh sweet melody… where have you been?

The times are changing at last

A great teacher it has been
I let go with a happy heart and cheerful grin

What has been done is done
No need to regret the web that has been spun

We start today with an outlook that’s brand new
Learning to love the ever growing spirit that lives inside you.

Some info about the Dandelion: 
(from about.com) Dandelion is an herb that is beneficial from root to blossom. It is one of the most versatile and important herbs to learn about.

Dandelion is a multi-purpose herb. All parts of it are useful. From early spring, when the new leaves are steamed and eaten as a potherb, through the summer, the leaves and blossoms are harvested. In the fall, the roots are pulled after a frost. Even the white, milky sap is used as an effective wart remover. Dandelion is a diuretic that also contains potassium. It has been used as a liver tonic. Regular harvesting will keep the dandelion from going to seed and sowing itself. This will keep the spread of cultivated dandelions out of your lawn. No matter what use you want dandelion for, this easy growing plant is going to be a wonderful addition to your herbal garden.

Being Different

I walked outside a moment ago and noticed a tree, all green except for this single leaf … from there my thoughts went to:

Just because everyone around you isn’t changing, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t.

Change is a natural occurrence that happens in all things. For us to grow, we must change in one way or another. Maybe it is our thoughts, our way of living, the way we do particular things, the way we process information, the way we handle life or any number of possibilities one might change. Don’t worry about fitting in with everyone else. Be YOU! Enjoy the changes that naturally occur within you and allow them sculpt you into the person you were born to be.

Daily Insight – Transformation

Transformation…. we all must transform… it is how we grow and evolve.

As life comes at us, bringing everything it has…. the good and the bad, we grow, we learn and we transform.

The key here is to transform with life as it comes… don’t fight it. It’s going to happen no matter what we do so fighting it only causes us that much more heartache and sometimes even trauma. Find that place in yourself where you can find comfort in your own growth and transformation. Fighting with ourselves when we are trying to evolve only causes us more harm and sets us back when we should be continually moving forward.

I know that some changes are hard to take but by fighting this change we only make it that much harder. Don’t think of it as giving in.. think of it as moving forward. Allow nature to take its course and allow yourself that room to grow.

Again, I know this can at times be very hard… but becoming stagnant can be even harder on the soul than one could imagine.

Something More…

Singing my song, whistling a tune.. asking the fairies to show me the way … I roam the green grass filled with patches of clover in search of those with leaves of 4. Each one I find I thank my wee little friends and search on for yet another. I gather those with leaves half chewed… leaves large, medium and small… I gather them all.

I stopped for a moment and smiled when this little one came into sight.

This one is a fully grown 3 leaf clover who has begun to grown 1 more. Unafraid to change, not trying to fit in with the others… this clover wants to be something more. So with all it’s might it digs down deep within the soil and gathers the strength and ability to make that change happen. This clover is now something quite different… something fabulously more!
