This morning just as I clicked record on my phone, a hummingbird showed up outside my window. For today’s message it is only fitting that we talk about the hummingbird and what it reminds us of in life. The lessons our dear little feathered friend has oh and for another surprise Spirit gives me a random message at the end about the dance… not sure who that is for but I have faith that it will reach it’s intended target.

The universe is playing catch up… there is a whole lot of karma that is to be sent out real soon. Some of you will be jumping for joy and the others ducking for cover. It’s an exciting time for many who finally get the sweet reward of staying on the right side of their path and doing the best they can at all times. It’s your turn to be heavily rewarded with some amazing karma. On the other hand you have those who continuously live on the wrong side of their path and who take little care in how their words, actions and behaviors effect others… well those people also have some karma on the way and those of you waiting on the good karma get icing on the cake… you get to watch!

It’s that magical time here on Earth where dreams are starting to come true. Spirit takes his foot off the brake and allows us to move forward. He has a warning for us as well but right now, we are capable of making all of our dreams come true if we are willing to put the work into it. The planets are aligned and it’s our time!!!! Do you find yourself feeling stuck? Does the journey you are on feel like a chain event of hard lessons that just don’t seem to end? If so, you need to take some time to review your path, look back at the journey you have been traveling.. what lesson is it that has escaped your understanding. Have patience with yourself and the journey itself. It takes time and growth to change your path, you have to allow yourself that time and allow the journey to even out once you’ve figured out the lessons.

Often, we allow the people and things to remain on our path that shouldn’t be for far too long. We have to be open and honest with ourselves and what fits us and what doesn’t. Allowing those things that don’t fit us to remain on our path does damage to everyone involved.. they cannot progress and neither can you. Without being harsh or cruel you can let go of those things and people that don’t truly belong with you. When you are able to do that…. everyone grows in the right direction.

In life we will get knocked off our path many times… the important thing is that we get up, dust ourselves off and get back on that road. Spirit knocks us off the path when we are going in the wrong direction… it is important to recognize that so that when we get back on that road we don’t keep going the wrong way!!

Obstacles are opportunities for growth and healing. Do we allow them to block us from moving forward or do we use them as opportunities for growth and healing? Being able to stand on your path and look back at what you have overcome is a great feeling. Life will throw us many obstacles… forge past them and take that lesson and learn from it and allow yourself to heal once you have made it past. Look at what you have already survived… you can do this.

That lesson that seems to keep replaying through your life. You thought you learned the lesson but there must have been something you kept missing. Like a broken record you find yourself over and over again hearing the same things. The path you walk, though further in your journey feels all too familiar… as though you have been there before. It is an echo, haunting your spirit.
What is it that is left to understand? What else is there to this lesson that you have not yet learned? How do you move beyond this stage? How do you stop…. the echo?
Step back, take another look at this road you have traveled… it’s just there .. just around that last bend you passed. Do you see it? Yeah … that’s it. Now.. wash, rinse but don’t repeat. Dry yourself off and move on.
Echos belong to the past… don’t let them interrupt your future.

In a world full of all kinds of trouble … it’s not always easy to “Embrace the Light”.
Worries, fear, sorrow, loss, stress, emotions, etc… so many troubles that can suck the light away from us.
It’s necessary that we take time often to remove ourselves from these troubles and look toward the light… the good life has to offer us. Otherwise, we get sucked into a black hole of negativity that does nothing to help us along our journey.
Today’s post is a simple reminder to take time to reflect on the good in life… just don’t stay in reflection so long that you miss out on the now.

Trusting Yourself…. yeah … ok … this one is a HARD one!
I’m not sure about everyone else… but I was taught to question everything and that included myself. No one ever said to me that I shouldn’t trust myself but no one ever said I should either.
Looking back at my life so far.. I wish that I had someone to teach me to trust myself and my innermost feelings. Soooooooooooooo many things could have been avoided, had I gone with my instincts instead of questioning what I already knew and felt.
I cannot tell you exactly how to begin finding your own self trust… all I can say is that once you start believing in your own abilities and trusting your inner knowing.. life will start to come together as it has never done before. We all must find our own way down our individual path in life… my goal here is to be a flashlight in the night to help you see what is in front of you when all seems to be cloaked in the darkness of getting by.
I am here to tell you that it is well worth the efforts to stop doubting yourself, your abilities and your own knowing. I can tell you that when I have followed my instincts, I have found a much happier, healthy and enlightening trail along my path. The rewards are far more than just being right… the rewards go much deeper. Choosing to trust your intuition and following that knowledge, fills you with something that I cannot describe.. I only wish that you too will be able to experience the same.
Start out with small steps and pay attention to that stirring inside you that whispers.. turn this way … follow this road… stop… do this.. do that… or that whisper that tells you .. run … go the other way…. don’t travel that particular path. Whatever that whisper is inside you .. listen to it and trust it. The more you begin doing this.. the more you will start trusting and understanding who you are and where you belong and where you are going.

Every moment that we live we are creating our lives…. everything you do effects your life from the largest of decisions to the smallest.
The paths we take… the thoughts we think… the lives we touch – all become a part of our own life paintings.

We’ve all heard it before.. it a phrase that is said all the time.. life is a circle.. everything comes in cycles.. everything is connected .. we are all apart of the same circle.
We all know this and we understand what it means… but do you truly see?
We must do far more than understand the meaning .. we must live our lives with that same understanding.
Imagine if you will your life as a hamster wheel … you are on that wheel sometimes walking at a comfortable pace… sometimes running like hell… sometimes we even stop for a bit of a rest but when we get going again we are still traveling on that same wheel (our life).
So it should be easy to see that what ever you leave on that wheel will come back around to you at some point.
The question of the day is: What have you left on your wheel of life?

Spirit has been whispering in my ear this morning and leading me to write a bit about the road we travel…. bare with me, for sometimes when I get these type messages from Spirit .. I seem to ramble…
Our roads are never perfectly clear from beginning to end and certainly not smooth …. along the way we are to encounter many obstacles .. it is not so much the obstacles that are important but how we handle these obstacles.
Each obstacle is an opportunity to learn and to grow.
At times our road may become dark and it will take a lot of inner strength to make it through. This is where Spirit screams and shouts and wants me to make it clear to everyone that the path does not stay dark for too long, although at the time it may seem unending to the traveler.
The light will return … when it returns is entirely up to you.
You may not feel that it is in your control but Spirit urges me to say .. YES.. YES indeed it is.
The decisions you make along this path can keep you in the dark …. seemingly isolated, burdened and distressed. Spirit again urges me to make sure this is SEEMINGLY … not REALITY.
The reality is that there are other choices you can make that will take you out of the darkness much quicker.. though the choices may not be all that clear to you at the time .. they may “feel” impossible .. or they may “feel” harder than the choice you have currently made.
Stop! Calm Yourself… Focus.. then step back from your situation and look at it from other points of view.
Step outside of your own situation and imagine that it is someone else going through this dark period.. now think of what advice you would give that other person.
See? Things start becoming more clear to you. You see that there are other options. They may not be easy but they are there.
The important thing to know is that they are there… Think about this long dark road you are currently on. Now think of how hard it would be to continue down this road in the darkness for an undetermined amount of time… now think of those other options and though they may seem hard to commit.. once committed to finding another way .. you’ll find the darkness nothing more than a memory.
Whatever you do … do your best … mistakes will be made.. that is a given .. focus on doing your best and giving your best … mistakes are merely lessons for growth and knowledge.

Finding your way or your life path….
Over the years I have seen the question come up many times .. “How do I know which path is the right path for me?”
I cannot tell you what path to follow or how to find your path but I can tell you how I found my own and continue rediscovering my way in this world.
It would be easy if all roads were paved and smooth and ran in a straight line to where you want to be …. But thats not really how it is .. the paths are not smooth and certainly not paved!!
I see our paths more like hiking trails up a very large mountain … the trails are our choices .. the things we take on.. the way we live our lives .. some head straight up the mountain and some curve around and around that mountain … some make loopty loos and take us in a few circles as we make our way to the top…
The Mountain is this lifetime … this Earthwalk
The top is where all the paths lead and where we all wish to find ourselves at the end of our journey.. at the top looking over all that we had accomplished… all that we had been through and all that we had survived.
Finding where you belong can be a very long and tricky road .. don’t expect to open a book and suddenly find your way and then again it could happen that way… you never know.
By reading about many different ways of life is a good way to begin finding out where you do or don’t fit in. It also opens your mind to ways you probably never thought of and yet possibly felt within.
Experience life ..
Go out and meet new people .. put yourself out there to take in all experiences ..
Most importantly learn to go within yourself and follow your heart.. your heart will always be true to you when the head might interfere.
I feel that life is a journey of exploration where we are constantly learning about who we are and where we wish to be. I, myself will continue rediscovering my path as I make my way up the mountain… over and over again.
I learned a long time ago not to expect things to stay the same.. and that change is inevitable. Change can be scary … not knowing whats around the corner is something that causes fear in many of us. The trick is not letting that fear stop you from experiencing what life has to offer.
I describe my own path as coming from everything .. from many ways of life .. I am not of one religion or belief … I am from all … My ancestors come from all over and in the many lives I have experienced and not all of the same place, religion or path.. I have been on many different trails up the mountain and from each I have taken something with me and from each I bring with me something special into this life ..
My path I have found is to live and enjoy the hike up the mountain … to honor and respect all that come to pass as I make my way and to continue living, loving and dreaming.

Hearing The Call
To some the call is loud and clear and to some not so loud and not so clear …
There are those of you who know who you are and what guides you … and then
there are those unsure..
To find your helpers, your guides.. sit quietly and begin to listen .. step away from yourself and look at the world around you. Look behind you at the foot prints you have left in the dirt .. what other foot prints or tracks do you see?
And don’t worry if you see more than 1 or 2 other sets … for we are all ever changing .. often we have more than just one totem guide or helper.. sometimes you may have a mix of guides and helpers and sometimes only 1 or 2

All you have to do is ask.. and the answers will come.. but you must quiet your mind.. quiet your worries, quiet your fears, quiet your stress, quiet all that occupies the mind.. like a whisper upon the wind you will hear the answer spoken … but you must be open to whatever message comes … Spirit will not guide you wrong … and this you must trust …
