The Mood Lightens

Here we are on the cusp of the weekend… the February full moon has been helpful at getting rid of those things no longer needed. I have renamed Fabulous February to Fabulously CRAZY February! This weekend the mood lightens and it’s time to get serious about your path once again. You see the truth and can hear it.. what a gift! Your Weekly Spiritual Guidance for Jan. 4-10

This week, Spirit reminds us that Mercury goes into retrograde on January 5th until January 25th. Try to hold off on making any BIG life changes during this time. Stick to the small things you can do until Mercury goes direct.  Spirit also gives me a meditation to help us rid ourselves of negativity, so that we can start manifesting the life we want. Healing from the Sweat Lodge

Last night I was gifted another opportunity to participate in sweat lodge and it was magical! Joined by my Red Tail Hawk and My White Wolf and later a wonderful healing moment with the Grandmother. The healing and cleansing that comes from sweat lodge is like no other. Powerful and strong… this particular sweat was the hottest I’ve ever been in. Endless healing energies flowed through us all. I am blessed and today I share with you all some of that energy.

Spiritual Forecast for Sept. 21 – 27, 2015

This week offers some direction. Finding Ways to Release

Today Spirit gives us the message of release and ways to do that very thing. Over time so many things can attach to our Spirit which in turn clogs us up both physically and spiritually. Stress, fear, worry, doubt, pain, etc… these thoughts and emotions fill us without us even realizing how much they pile up and attach to our spirit. Because we can’t see them, we never know how much is there until we have the opportunity to release it all. Once there has been some kind of release, we then realize how much was there. It feels wonderful and is so healing to be able to let those things go, so find what calls to you and begin a new routine of letting go this New Moon.

Finding the Wisdom Hidden Inside

IMG_7218We are born with an inner knowing that for the most part in the majority, goes completely untapped. Finding the wisdom hidden inside yourself takes patience, practice and an ability to quiet the mind. You see as children, we live in that inner knowing. Can you remember back to your childhood for a moment? Think about some of the things that you understood without anyone telling you, think about the things you believed without ever being subjected to it, think about the things you did without over-thinking that turned out in your favor…. think back to that time.

In the process of growing up and being “taught” what to think, we forget what we already knew.

How to find that hidden wisdom:

Be patient with yourself.
Practice meditation and practice listening to your intuition.
Learn how to quiet the mind.

It’s not something that happens quickly. I’m sure you will doubt yourself many times before you start actually listening. You will get frustrated and you will give up many times. You will keep trying and eventually you will find yourself trusting that inner knowledge. It’s well worth the time, effort and practice. When we follow our instincts, we find ourselves in a better place, mentally, physically and emotionally. We have to learn the difference between fear and lessons learned. There is a part of us that alarms us when we are about to do something that isn’t good for us… only you can determine if this alarm is going off from fear or from a previous lesson.

There are many forms of meditation. Try all of them until you find ones that work for you. When you find something that works, practice, practice, practice. The more you are able to master the art of meditation, the more you will find yourself hearing and understanding your own inner guide.

Sharpening The Senses

How can I communicate
How can I “See”
How can I “Know”
How do I sense
How, how, how?????????

The answer always the same from me … first you must learn to meditate. I know it might sound silly but when you are able to meditate and meditate well.. you have learned to quiet the mind and then finally able to “hear” and “sense” everything else around you.

Our minds can be very loud, always thinking, always planning, always wondering, always assuming, always over thinking… lol..

Meditation done on a regular basis sharpens our senses, eases stress and gives us at least for the moment some sort of peace.. inside and out.

Find a meditation that suits you. There are many forms out there and Google will introduce you to most of them. Try many different kinds and find one that best fits who you are.  Don’t expect to get it perfect right away.. it takes practice, the more you do the better you get.

You’ll soon find yourself more open to all of your senses.

Clearing Energy

candleHave you ever had one of those days where everything seems to get to you? It feels that everything that got added to your to-do list was a burden and with each task you felt more and more weighed down. You can feel the negativity building inside you. How do you get past this and how do you clear yourself of this bad energy?

I use a few techniques: 

Smudge  – Smudge is a mixture of herbs that are used just for their properties of clearing away bad or negative energy. You light them and let them smolder.. swirling the smoke around your space.. clearing away all that mad mojo.

Light a Candle – As I light the candle I imagine all the negativity inside and around me burning away and as the candle burns it continues to burn away all that bad, icky stuff.

Meditation – Take a few deep breaths… close your eyes… let go of everything … imagine all good energy taking over as you breathe in and all bad energy leaving you as you exhale.

Step Outside – Nature is a great way to get away from bad energy… just stepping out onto the ground  – taking in fresh air can be very helpful.

If none of the above work… SCREAM! LOL… seriously if you are able to do it .. sometimes a good shout out can release you from all that pent of negativity.

Magical Mondays – Where Do You Go?

Often, when I go to bed I meditate before going to sleep. In my meditation I always go to the same place, I guess you might call this my happy place. I had never given this place much thought until recently. The other night as I made my way to that familiar place, I paused for a moment and gave more thought to that place and why I go there and how it makes me feel. I’d like to share with you now, my thoughts about my own happy place.

My happy place is a creek bank on the edge of a large field. Behind me is a row of trees that separates the bank from the open field. The bank is slightly sloped and filled with tall grasses. I can hear the water softly rambling just below where I lay in the tall grass. It’s always a sunny beautiful day with the random fluffy cloud that may pass by as a gentle breeze flows through the air. The smell of nature fills my senses and the warm sun gives me that cozy feeling of love and happiness. The birds sing their songs and fly overhead, often landing for a moment in the trees…. butterflies flutter across the land and I am at home.

I am alone, there on the creek bank and yet not afraid, not worried, not lonely, never sad or upset. When I go to that place, that little creek bank I am whole, I am happy and I am at peace. I lay there taking in the warmth of the sun, the nurturing feeling of the ground beneath me and the bliss that nature provides. I lay there first thinking of my breathing, slowing my pace and getting myself settled in for whatever journey Spirit wishes to bring my way.

In the past I would go to my place, do my thing and then on into the meditations, but in this moment I took the time to fully appreciate the entire process. Appreciating my happy place and all that it offered, how it made me feel and the content that it brings me.

So, now that you have heard all about my happy place… give a little more thought to your own… where do you go and why?

Working With Dreams

Working with your dreams can be very beneficial and may help you work through the things that most effect you in your life.

There are many different kinds of dreaming.. some say they don’t dream at all, but they do. We all dream! There are different levels on consciousness while sleeping and depending on what level you are at when the dreaming begins or even what level you go to after the dream, plays a big part in remembering your dreams.

To help you remember your dreams:

As you lay down at night tell yourself over and over again that you intend on remembering. Practice makes perfect. You can’t do this just once and expect to remember. this is something you’ll need to do until you have finally started remembering those dreams.

There are also many different stones that are helpful when wanting to dream more, have more vivid dreams or simply remember your dreams. Amethyst, moonstone and quartz are just a few that come to mind first. Find the stone that calls to you. ANY stone call do the trick.. if it calls to you.

Meditation is also a very helpful tool. Again, find a meditation that suits you. There are tons of meditation techniques out there. Do some Googling and try many different forms of meditation until you find the one that fits you best. Meditation is a training of the mind and the more you do it … the better you get. As with all things it takes time, patience and lots of practice.

Dream catchers are another tool used for dream work. They are best used by hanging over your bed or somewhere in the bedroom where the morning sunlight will reach it every day. The morning sun cleanses the dream catcher of all the bad or negative dreams and thoughts.

Journals – dream journals are ever so helpful. Hard to make yourself remember to do at first but as always practice.. practice. Write down your dreams before your feet hit the floor. Once you are out of bed, auto mode kicks in and you begin your tasks at hand for the day and the journal remains empty.

Essential oils…. oh one of my favorites! I love essential oils and there are many out there designed to help you with sleep and dream work.

Whatever tool you use.. practice, practice, practice. Find what calls to you and what feels right. You can use one of the tools above or a combinations of several or all of them .. or even find something different that works for you. Good luck and sweet dreams!

Not Seeing the Signs?

For those of you who have been looking for or hoping to have a sign from the universe .. I’m going to attempt to help you just a little bit.

1st  – imagine a number any number .. 1 digit, 2 digit or even 3 .. it can even be a repeating number like 111, 222, etc…

This number is going to be your sign.  You may see this number at the beginning, in the middle or even the end of a any sequence of numbers or you may see it alone.

Now after you read all of this.. close your eyes.. imagine my thumb in the center of your forehead for a moment or two … see this number … I am giving this number to you… introduce yourself to this number and then open your eyes and let it go.

Don’t worry about it or think about it again.

You will just start seeing this number as the days go by more and more often. This number is now your sign. You are now aware of it’s presence and since you are aware, you will see whats been in front of you all this time. Doing this will open you up to see other signs and more of what the universe has been guiding you to see.

Standing Still

Today I want to speak about standing still within so that we can learn more about ourselves. Stepping back to clearly see yourself and how you behave and how you react to life’s many situations.

How many times do we speak when we should have stayed quiet ?
How many times have we taken a leap when we should have stood still?
How many times did we think we saw something that just wasn’t there?
There are so many ways that we learn about self… these are just a few.

The key is learning how to find that place in yourself where you can stop, stand still for a moment and really see clearly .. so that we may not make that leap if it is not needed.. so that we may be able to keep our words quiet until they need to be heard .. and so that we may see things as they are and not how we think they are or how fear would like us to see them or how we wish they were.

It takes time and practice and lots of self discipline to learn about standing still within yourself. Maybe take a few minutes a day to try it at different times throughout your day. Take that time and learn about that place within you. .. get to know it… feel it… love it and you may find that often you will go back to it withmore ease each time you visit.

So lets all take a moment now to sit in the stillness within to have a more clarity of our lives and of ourselves.

Meditation Tips

Meditation is a great tool … There are many forms of meditation and many reasons why one might meditate.

It helps to relax, reduce stress, helps with anger, sleep, focus and can also help remember past events or even past lives. These are just a few of the things that you can do with meditation.

It’s best to try many types of meditation until you find the one that is right for you.

When just beginning to meditate it can help by listening to tranquil music and then even more so if you use headphones. The headphones will help drown out any outside noises while you learn your meditation.

The more you do the better you become. It can sometimes be hard to focus and stop the mind from wandering in the beginning. Practice makes perfect.. the more you meditate the better you become at it and soon you’ll be able to meditate with little or no trouble at all.

There are many techniques online… I suggest you google meditation techniques and try out as many as you like. You will find that some are easier for you than others. Everyone is different and so what works for one may not work for another.

Practice visualizing ordinary, everyday things.

Part of meditation is the ability to visualize… start out with closing your eyes and visualizing ordinary, everyday objects, when you master one object… move on to another .. soon you will be able to do this with ease.

Guided meditation vs self guided meditation…

Guided meditation is where someone else is talking you through a meditation technique and self guided is where you memorize steps to a meditation and do it by memory alone.

Guided meditation can sometimes work better simply because you are focused on the words someone else is saying and you are able to completely let go and ease into the picture that they paint for you with their wording.

When you memorize a meditation and do a self guided meditation.. you have to try and let yourself go to the place you are seeking along with continuing to guide yourself down that path.. so you can see how that maybe like trying to live in two worlds at one time.

Try both … one may suit you better than another and then again sometimes you will find certain types of meditation are best self guided and others work better guided by someone else… like past life regression.

When trying to remember a past life .. it is easier to participate in a guided meditation .. that way someone else guides you down that path while you are able to completely let go and travel that road without the task of keeping yourself on track… it is the responsibility of the other person to do that and you can have the freedom to roam about that life fully. Also it’s good to have someone else with you as you explore past lives or even past events in your current life so that if you go too deeply or experience great tragedy .. they can see you struggling and bring you back up if needed.

Comfort – You must be in a comfortable place when meditating .. you can’t be too hot or too cold or uncomfortable in general…. it breaks your concentration and disrupts the process.

A Colorful Life

primroseI’m guided today to speak about color.  Spring has sprung and soon the Earth will be painted with many colors.

Pay more attention to the colors in your own world… color has a great affect on you, your health and your mood.

Spirit will be speaking to you through colors in the coming days so pay attention.

Even your dreams will have color in them from time to time for some and for others like me .. all the time.

 

Here are a few general meaning of some of the more popular colors:

Red symbolizes: action, confidence, courage, vitality

Pink symbolizes: love, beauty

Brown symbolizes: earth, order, convention

Orange symbolizes: vitality with endurance

Gold symbolizes: Wealth, prosperity, wisdom

Yellow symbolizes: wisdom, joy, happiness, intellectual energy

Green symbolizes: life, nature, fertility, well being

Blue symbolizes: youth, spirituality, truth, peace

Purple symbolizes: Royalty, magic, mystery

Indigo symbolizes: intuition, meditation, deep contemplation

White symbolizes: Purity, Cleanliness

Black symbolizes: Death, earth, stability

Gray symbolizes: Sorrow, security, maturity

Try this Meditation I found online to help balance and heal through colors:

  • Sit comfortably with your eyes closed.
  • Visualize a large ball of radiant Golden light a few inches over your head. Visualize that ball of light slowly descending through your crown, filling your entire being with golden light.
  • Imagine yourself absorbing that light as it nourishes, cleanses and heals your whole being – your Spirit and all of your bodies – dissolving all blocked and toxic energies.
  • Repeat this exercise, visualizing a ball of Red light. Continue through the entire spectrum like this, visualizing a ball of Orange light; Yellow light; Green light; Blue light; Indigo light; and Violet light. Go through the spectrum at whatever pace feels appropriate.
  • Take some time to visualize yourself in a state of perfect, radiant health

When worry occupies the mind …

>When worry occupies the mind … be sure and cast away those mindful troubles before going to bed.Step outside and cast your worries away for the night so that you can get a peaceful nights sleep.

Worry through the night can cause illness, headaches and along night of tossing and turning

There are many way to let go of those worries.. or should say many techniques..A few are: Before bed write them down and burn the paper before going to bed… Designate a worry stone.. at night before bed .. place your worries on the stone and place it outside on the ground so that the Earth can take those worries away

Prayer always helps. Cast your worries to the heavens before bed

A shower or bath before bed is helpful to wash away the worries and also good at helping you relax …
