Daily Insight – The Spiritual Warrior

By the sounds of it you might envision a spiritual warrior as someone in full battle armor fighting battles of all sorts in some spiritual way or even a spiritual realm… which would be correct except that the armor isn’t a tin suit.

Spiritual armor is knowledge, love and acceptance. The tools of a spiritual warrior are the same. The realm in which they fight is within themselves.

A spiritual warrior will fight battles daily, not to save the world as a whole, but to save their own personal bit of the world in which they live which may be as small or as large and wide as they wish to reach. Now don’t take this wrong.. I’m not saying that they are focused only on themselves. Spiritual warriors walk many paths and work in many ways to help the world as a whole… but the real battles are within. Working daily to improve themselves, with hopes to reach the highest level of spirit that they can achieve in this lifetime.

A spiritual warrior knows that the more they know and the stronger they are at their own core of being, the more they are able to help others. The battle never ends… there is no finale of fireworks and certificates to be handed out. There is only the realm of living that is after this. With each realm their task is to become better than the one before. To live in harmony with oneself, with nature and the world that sustains us.

30 Things I am Thankful For

IMG_4324I know the most popular thing this month is to post something each day that you are thankful for … but as you might have noticed, I don’t really follow what everyone else does. Instead of posting daily, I’m posting 30 things I am thankful for in one post so that they have their moment all month long.. instead of just a 24 hour moment ….

I am Thankful For: 

  1. My Husband
  2. The opportunity to experience birthing my children
  3. Monty (the wonderful snuggly dog that he is)
  4. Wonderful in-laws
  5. My sis, Pattie who always understands me more than anyone
  6. Having a job that I love
  7. Working with people I enjoy working with
  8. The creative thoughts that always find a way to fill my head
  9. The moments Spirit gives me so that I can find ways to help others
  10. The art that I am lucky enough to create
  11. The ease that words flow  from my head to my fingertips
  12. Friendship (you all know who you are)
  13. My Camera (OMG I cannot forget my camera!)

  20. My Sight – to be able to see the world, nature and all the magic that surrounds us daily
  21. My hearing – to hear the sound of my husbands voice, laughter, the song of the birds, the sound of night, the sounds of morning, what a great gift hearing is.
  22. Growth –  I look back and am truly thankful for how far I have come and look forward to the journey forward
  23. The mountain – the journey, even when it has been hard has revealed to me strengths I am always surprised to find that are within me
  24. Crystals – well you know how Ravens love shiny things 😉
  25. Healing – that wonderful feeling when you are broken and think you will never recover and then one day you realize that you already have.
  26. Magic – it makes life far more special and keeps me looking forward to each day and what it holds.
  27. My Past – no matter how rocky it may have been it has showed me that I have the ability to weather the storm no matter the size, conditions or how long it lasts.
  28. The Future – because I know there is one and it is just as full of magic as all the days have had before ..
  29. Kisses – Mmmmmmmmmmm they soothe away all kinds of pain
  30. Life – I am blessed  although at times I have felt cursed.. life is worth living .. life is worth enjoying and it’s worth doing it over and over again.So, there you have it 30 things I am thankful for…. the list could go on and on and in far more detail …. but for now .. I feel this will do.

One’s Idea of Magic

I was having a playful conversation with my husband tonight … he was having a tummy ache and I said to him … “one kiss from me love and your tummy will be all better”. He kept changing the subject and I asked… ” don’t you believe in my magic love?”. He would never answer me, so I walked away. I said to him If you believed in my magic, you could feel all better but since you don’t believe you’ll just have to suffer.. lol. A few minutes later I said ” you know what… I believe in you” .. he said “but I’m not magic”. I just left it at that, but you know what? He is.. he just doesn’t know it.

One kiss from him reduces my stress to absolutely nothing. My worries, my fears, my concerns.. everything is gone with just a kiss. Now  that’s magic! Too bad he doesn’t even realize it… but all is not lost .. because I know he is.. I feel it every time I look at him.. every time he touches me and every time his lips touch mine.

Magic you see isn’t pulling a rabbit out of a hat or turning bad men into frogs … magic is something more special than that!

The Rebuild

Inspired by a video that my dear friend Olivia Kemp posted on my Facebook wall this morning.. I feel drawn to write a bit about rebuilding. Rebuilding ourselves.

Okay Olivia .. you asked for it .. so here it goes!

Life can be harsh and people even more so. For those who have been bullied as children and adults… it’s not just school age children that play the part of the bully. The bully can be a school mate, a spouse, a parent, a boss, a co-worker or even a stranger. The damage left behind from the torment that a bully lays upon us can be life changing, devastational and ever so difficult to get over and move past.

Once we have been able to remove ourselves from this destructive person, we have to then start working on the rebuild. We must find a way to repair and rebuild ourselves and the damage that has been done to our heart, our mind and our soul. We don’t want to continue carrying around with us this pain, so we must work to rid it from our lives.

Step 1 is understanding that the things that were said were not about you .. it was always about them. The acts that were done to you was not about how good or bad you are but how they felt about themselves.

Step 2 is understanding that no matter how great you were, how much you loved the other person, the kindness that you tried to show them or anything that you did or did not do .. it wasn’t and still isn’t your place to change them or heal them. They must find the change and healing within themselves.

Step 3 is understanding that you have value. No matter what was ever done or said to you by another.. you DO have value.

Step 4 is knowing who you are and who you aren’t. ( you aren’t a doormat, you aren’t bad, you aren’t the names someone else calls you, you aren’t the pain they are fighting)

Step 5 is to continue growing, learning, living, loving and understanding yourself.

Step 6... keep walking forward.

Step 7 … smile, for you are of great value and you are a survivor!

When everyone else has let go

 I took this photo today. At first I thought nothing of it .. just thought the color was awesome and it was the last of the summer blooms that we will be seeing this year.  When I got home and downloaded it off my camera … I paused and looked at it a bit longer. My first thought was of the old saying “He loves me, He loves me not”… and I thought to myself.. I will label this photo… “He loves me”. So I posted it on my facebook wall and went about my business posting a few other things and liking a post here and there … supporting my friends  and then I came back around to the photo. Again, I paused and just starred for a moment. There was something about this rose that I was connecting to and I wasn’t quite sure what that was.

Suddenly, the answer was clear and this phrase came from the tips of my fingers as I began to type out a new caption for it: “When everyone else has let go…You will find me still holding on”.

This pretty much sums up my life in a single phase…
When everyone else has let go.. You will find me still holding on. 

Always believing in the possibilities ahead.. always carrying hope of better days .. always holding on for whatever is to come… determined not to give up… still holding on.

When the Universe Speaks

It’s not often in life that we get the privilege to feel the universe cheering us on… as if we are on the right track and Spirit keeps giving us that “atta boy” pat on the back to keep us trucking on in the right direction. When it does happen .. be sure to stop for a moment to make note and give thanks. Don’t let those moments just slip on by. Enjoy the moment!

This morning as I made my way into the office …. I sat down at my computer… turned it on and right away I get a really great message from a Facebook friend thanking me for making her mornings bright. I was caught off guard but it sure did bring a smile to my face as well. She was thanking me for something that I had hoped would happen when I post the things I post and when I blog about the many topics I touch upon.. but you never know if the message is really getting out… I often wonder if it really means anything to anyone. The confirmation this morning from my friend was a wonderful gift!

In the middle of our conversation I ran out quickly to refill the bird feeder outside my office window. Just as I stepped out the back door of the office, I heard a noise, looked up and several crows were perching on top of a street lamp just across the street. I put my bird seed down and grabbed my camera to snap a couple of pics and WOW!!! A hawk flew into the frame and was buzzing the crows sitting

on top of the light. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and couldn’t believe that I was lucky enough to be standing there with my camera in hand taking pics of it all! I am still excited with the energy that was stirred from this event!

I love those little surprises .. the crows, the hawk.. the message from a friend.

Here’s a bit of info for the Hawk and the Crow:

Hawk is the messenger, the protector and the visionaries of the Air. It holds the key to higher levels of consciousness. This totem awakens vision and inspires a creative life purpose.

Crow lives in the void and has no sense of time, therefore, it sees past, present and future simultaneously. Crow merges both light and dark, both inner and outer. They are symbols of creation and spiritual strength. Look for opportunities to create and manifest the magic of life. Crows are messengers calling to us about the creation and magic that is alive in the world today and available to us.

So what does all of this tell us?

It tells us to always be ready and willing to enjoy the moment when it comes. You never know from what direction love, kindness, happiness, surprises and magic will appear. Be ready and willing to accept it as it comes!

I know what it’s like…

Browsing through my memory bank, I found a few things.

People at work ask me all the time,  “How do you know so much?”… I tell them “because I’ve been through so much .. oh and because I’m curious” … they are referring to my knowledge of navigating my way around a computer and its various software and websites … I was referring to everything else!

So what else did I find in my memory banks besides how to find random crap on Google, navigate websites, set up email signatures on webmail sites and the ever so important troubleshooting abilities that allow me to walk my co-workers through  the many road blocks they encounter daily????

I found that I also know:

What’s like to fall and fall hard and what it’s like to get back up again.

I know what it’s like to hurt and how it feels when you can finally laugh again.

I know what it’s like to love with all my heart has to offer and the pain that comes when that love isn’t returned.

I know what it’s like to cry myself to sleep and yet get up the next morning with a new attitude and desire to get past whatever it was that made me so sad.

I know what it’s like to fail and then the joy it brings when I succeed.

I know what it’s like to laugh so much and so hard that you can’t breathe.

I know what it’s like to smile from the inside out.

I know what it’s like when you hit that wall and it feels like you just can’t go any further.

I know know what it’s like once you decide you can get past that wall and the moment you decide to lift your head and just keep moving forward.

I know what it’s like to feel alone.

I know what it’s like to miss someone.

I know what it’s like to want, to need, to hope, to dream, to wish with all that you can.

I know what it’s like to struggle.

I know what it’s like when someone understands and cares.

I know what it’s like to be surprised.

I know what it’s like to be disappointed.

I know what it’s like to fall behind.

I know what it’s like to get ahead.

I know what it’s like to be lost.

I know what it’s like to find yourself.. again and again and again…

I know what it’s like to see your dreams come true.

I know what it’s like realize that I know nothing at all.

I know what it’s like to know love.

I know how it feels when something comes easy.

The Box of Love

Valentine’s Day is coming up and so I wanted to take a moment to share with you something I have done for friends in previous years to spread the love   A few years ago I got the idea to give a whole years worth of love on Valentine’s Day …. So I thought how on Earth  will I pull that off!

So it dawned on me … I started collecting motivational and inspirational quotes along with a few funny and odd bits  of wisdom, jokes or whatever it was I liked…

I collected 365 sayings … I printed off 20 sets of these 365 sayings and began the process of cutting them all up in strips to place them inside a decorative box … with a tag that says …  A Year of Warm Hugs and Wishes

I found the boxes at the Dollar Tree for $1 each …. Not a ton of money invested.. just loads of time!

Daily Insight – Love

What can I say that has not been said before when it comes to love. It is that one thing we are all in search of and yet so few feel like they have found true love.

Bells, whistles, lightning and thunder are suppose to be heard when that love walks into your life… but is this true?

YES!!! Yes it is very true.

Your entire being knows when that other half of your soul stands before you. Words or actions will not be needed for the souls communicate on a level that few understand.

Magical is another word used often to describe the feeling of true love. I have to agree but also I should say that one need not expect to have that “magical” feeling every moment of every day. The magic is  always there but in the chores of living day to day other things blur the magic and while it is there.. it may be unseen or felt less than other moments at times. This is ok.. this is how it should be.. for the magic is never gone… it’s just not always front and center.

Be sure and let those you love know it every day. If you want a magical love life then you have to play a part in making sure the magic is front and center.. don’t allow life’s day to day challenges blur the magic that lives within your bond.

It’s the small things that for me bring that magic back to the surface… like looking over at my husband and as he turns his focus and looks back at me and that smile of his takes form… A magic stirs inside me and I bubble over with how very much I love him. Late night cuddles and morning kisses .. sigh… Preparing meals together… the love and care that goes into every action. These are just a few of the things that normally may go without notice but for me these are the moments I look forward to.

What We Allow

Today Spirit urges me to talk about what we allow in our lives.

We need to stop often and take a look at the things we allow in our own lives. It’s easy to see what others allow but we must stop for a moment, step back and truly look at our own lives to see what it is we are or are not allowing.

Think about a few examples here: (Things we allow or block from our lives)

Love – we know how to give it but are we allowing it to be returned to us?
Kindness – same as above
Fear – ooooooo that’s a mean and nasty one.. be careful not to let your actions be guided by it
Creativity – are you doubting your creative self – blocking the creativity from flowing through you … when it comes to creativity you have got to let it flow  – also don’t let others stifle your creative ideas
Doubt – Oh  another ugly one … doubt can cause us and the people around us far more harm that one might think. Practice trusting yourself and that inner knowing that stirs inside you. If you can’t trust yourself, you’ll not trust anyone else either.
Success – are you truly allowing yourself to succeed or are you putting your own road blocks in the way?
Growth – are we allowing growth in all areas of our lives or are we again stifling or even pushing ourselves… trying to control how much we grow… how much we move forward … let nature take its course and allow your own growth to come at its own pace.

These are just a few examples… throughout our lives there are so many things we will find ourselves allowing in that are no good for us.. we talk ourselves into accepting what is … instead of seeing what could be or what is best for us.

What Tomorrow Brings

Life is what you make it. You get what you put into it.

Life has it’s ups and downs and all-arounds … it’s not what happens to us but how we react to what happens to us that determines how our day will be, how it will end and how the next day begins.

You have the power within you to make your own life whatever you want it to be. Let’s do be reasonable tho, of course we would all like to be millionaires but that’s not likely to happen. We can create our own magic, our own happiness and our own success.

Many walk through this life seemingly asleep and zombie-like. They just go through the motions of the day without truly living. So much is lost for them. They do not see their own possibilities. Life is constantly buzzing all around them and yet they are numb to it.

We all go through periods of seclusion and detachment from the world.. how long that period lasts is up to us. Some seem to stay in that period for their whole lives. I am sad for those who feel stuck in that period. My wish today is that they are able to see the world with new eyes and see their way out of this dark time. I can’t imagine how it must be to live everyday without light, love and a zest for truly living.

If you take nothing else from my words today.. my hope is that you know these few things: You do have the power inside you to turn your world around. Life’s possibilities are endless. It is never too late. Dreams do come true. Life is worth living. Love and happiness are inside you always. Magic is real.

Daily Insight – Oct. 7

Today I’ve got 2 cards … Love and Power.. oh what a pair!

Love: Two hands reaching out to hold one another. This speaks of a connectedness that is complete in itself. It needs nothing more than to be what it is. Its the kind of love that gives without expecting and receives gratefully what is returned.  I’m talking about a love so true it is nothing like you have experienced before…. a love that is solid and pure that flows straight from the heart and soul. A selfless love that never stops flowing. A love that completes you in a spiritual way that reveals to you your true purpose. Enjoy it! It lasts for eternity once found.

Power: Most may see the word power and think if has to do with strength or position in life.. but that is not always the meaning. The power I am talking about today is the power within you….. the things you are capable of doing and manifesting. I am speaking about your own internal power. Draw upon that power to manifest all that you dream your life to be.

You have it in you to manifest your visions. YOU HAVE THE POWER! Take the reigns and go forward with all your plans… as you feel this burst  of energy inside you.. all things are possible. get out there and make them happen!

After A While…

This poem is not one of my own but one I found years ago… stumbled across it again this morning and thought I would share. ENJOY!

After a while you learn the subtle difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul.

And you learn that love doesn’t mean leaning and company doesn’t mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren’t contracts and presents aren’t promises.

And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes ahead, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child.

And you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow’s ground is too uncertain for plans, and futures have a way of falling down in mid-flight. .

After a while you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much.

So you plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instead of waiting for someone to leave you flowers.

And you learn that you really can endure; You really are strong, you really do have worth.  And you learn, and you learn With every goodbye you learn.

My Magical Life

I love, love, love my magical life.. I really do.. it brightens my days and brightens the light inside me as well.  That being said.. I have to tell you about my commute home from work this afternoon. Here we go:

Well, earlier today I was blogging about work ethics and about doing the best you can do and then taking it a step further … all the while that I was writing about this I was thinking about my husband because he is that way as well. He just cannot make himself do something half way. He always has to go a step beyond what one might think you should do so that he does it better than what was done before.

Well.. the thoughts of my darling husband lingered through my mind all the way home. Every time I think of him, I can’t help but smile. It’s one of those smiles that starts right in the center of your being and just jumps right out onto your face as though it cannot be contained! So, I’m driving home and thinking about him and smiling all the while and I thought to myself, “thoughts of my hubby are just fluttering through my mind like a butterfly upon a breeze” I know,  I know.. I’m sappy that way.

Just a few minutes into my drive and “Our Song” comes on the radio… ok so you know I had to chuckle a bit to myself as a grin covered my entire face. I reach over and turn up the radio and at that moment I am in a que to merge onto another section of the interstate and as I sat there singing along to “our song” I look over at the traffic and in the median bounces a butterfly right past my car.. LOL! Finally I make it up to the merge and as traffic from the other lanes are mingling a truck moves over in front of me with the license plate of 777LVV. I think to myself…. “OMG, can this get much better!” You see we were married on 7/7/07 :-). I continue singing and making my way home.

The song is over and I can’t get much happier. I’m on my way home, I have a wonderful husband and life is pretty good today. As these thoughts fill my mind, it’s time to merge again and you won’t believe this but now I am behind another car with one of those angelic numbered license plates. This time it’s 444, which means the angels are surrounding you and  with you. You can imagine, I am all grins!

My commute is about an hours drive and now I am getting really close to home. Again, I am qed up to merge onto the last bit of highway just before hitting the back streets to home. I’m sitting there at a mere crawl inching my way forward, the windows are down, the radio is on and a cool breeze comes into my window. I breathe a heavy sigh and think to myself,” What a beautiful day” just then a car slowly passes by and yep you guessed it another plate with angelic numbers. This time it’s 111, which means opportunity and new doorways opening up.

Just seconds after seeing the 111, this thought rolled into my head,  “I just need to let go of thinking about the things I don’t have and concentrate on what I do have in my life”. Just as that thought finished, I look over and there is yet another car with 444 on the license plate! I’m thinking.. no one will ever believe this! This was the universe confirming my path or at least that’s how I like to believe.

Just amazing! Funny how life works. Those things that can’t be explained. Some call them coincidences … I call it magic!

Love life and watch it love you back!

Lost in his kiss….

Sigh…. It never gets old or common place.. that kiss…. when his lips touch mine I find myself lost in his kiss. You know how in those romantic movies the camera slows to focus on the couple locked in a magical kiss.. the camera zooms in on their faces and slowly encircles them as the background becomes fuzzy and fades away …. as if the world around them has completely disappeared… well that’s exactly how I feel every time my husband’s lips touch mine.

No matter what else in the world is going on … my worries and my stress lessen and I am lost in the magic of a single kiss. Moments I treasure … moments that stay with me long after they are gone.

Take time in your life to treasure those moments… a kiss, a warm embrace, a glance in your direction, a smile, a touch … time passes so quickly and our lives are filled with things to be done.. don’t let these small but priceless treasures get lost in the busy… busy .. hustle of  day to day living.

When those moments come … take in the moment and relish it … allow yourself to truly be in that moment and not elsewhere.

Allow Yourself

With life being ….. well LIFE .. we often find ourselves shutting things out. Lots of things… in fact far more than we realize. You can’t live a life closed off from life’s experiences. You have to allow yourself to FEEL … to LOVE … to CREATE … to LIVE!

Allow healing…. Allow laughter…. Allow sorrow… Allow pain… Allow love… Allow appreciation….. Allow yourself all things from all experiences.

Just like that great quote: To know great happiness you must first experience great sorrow.

It’s true… How would we know happiness if we didn’t understand and know the depths of pain and sorrow?

We get hurt and we put up a wall… we fail and we put up another wall… we become unhappy and we put up even more walls.. sooner or later we are just surrounded by walls and we are not only keeping the bad things out but we aren’t letting the good things in either.  So we doom ourselves to carry on living without experiencing.

If I had put up a wall every time I got hurt or failed at something … OMG .. I would be a hermit living in a vast forest with no contact with the world at all. I’d be so sad, alone and I would have died in the same way … very sad and very alone..

I can’t imagine missing all the moments of love, beauty, magic and wonder… I would have missed it all if I had put up walls from past hurts.

Not meeting my bestest friends… would have also been missed if I had of put up walls and closed myself off to new friendships because of past friendships gone wrong.

If I had closed myself off to the world… I don’t think I could paint or create a thing… for what experiences would I be able to draw from except from pain and solitude?

My message today: Don’t be afraid to fall down… getting up and giving it your all is well worth a few scrapes and bruises along the way… LIVING is so much better than existing.

It’s Right There!

IMG_9490It’s right there next to you, behind you, in front of you, above, below and all around you.  It’s right there!

Peace, love, joy and excitement.

Sure there are other things as well… but that doesn’t take away the peace, love, joy and magic that also exist.

It may be storming but the love, peace, joy and magic can still be found… if you just look for it.

If all you look for is rain.. that’s all you will find.

Take each day as it comes and find you’ll it.

A cool breeze on a hot, sunny day.
A refreshing moment beneath a shade tree.
The warmth of a sweater on a cold night.
The coolness of your pillow on the flip side.
A smile
A giggle
A friend
A kiss
A hug
A snuggle
The warmth of a campfire
Lightening bugs a dusk
The song of a bird
The purrr of a kitten
An eager welcome home from your pet
The smell of jasmine blooming in late spring
Snow cones and ice cream!

Babies sleeping
The quiet at the end of a long day
The chatter of children at play
Movie Night
Doing something right
Sunsets and sunrises
Unexpected surprises

It’s all there… no matter where you go…

All it Takes is Remembering

IMG_8987Today I want to take you back … back in time to the days when you felt you had the world in your hands and you just knew that someday all your dreams would come true.

You may have been 5 and just starting school.. ready to learn all that you could.

You may have been 9, in that in between age of being a kid and being a teenager.

You may have been 13 and just starting Junior High…  or you may have been 16 with a license to go wild … .your freedom in the form of a little plastic card with your picture on it.

You may have been 18, graduating high school  ready to leave home and branch out on your own.

You may have been 21 and now the world truly was in your hands … no rules holding you back!

You may have been 35 and finally coming into your knowing…

You may have been in your 40’s and well … the little things no longer mattered.

No matter what the age was when you felt like the world was yours … when you had high hopes, dreams and long-standing goals… go back now to that time… even if it was just for a moment … go back

Remember what that felt like…

Remember how mountains were merely anthills and rivers were never too wide.

Now remember those hopes and dreams… remember the goals you once had…

Remember your ambition and your readiness to take on whatever lies before you.

Remember?

Explore those thoughts today is all I ask…..

The Light Within

There is a light within us all…  there is also a darkness ….

We have a choice every minute of every day to embrace either side …. or……..

TO FIND THE BALANCE WITHIN.

Take a moment to think about your own inner light,

Do you nurture it?

Do you smolder it?

Do you keep that light kindled?

What do you kindle it with?

Do you feel the warmth of your own light?

Do you allow it to shine?

Do you dowse it’s flame?

How do you feed your light?

Do you feed it?

Are you afraid of it?

Are you afraid of what others will say or think when they see your light?

Do you know it’s color?

Do you feel it’s strength?

Do you know where it lives?

Just a few questions to ponder while you sleep tonight.

Don’t be afraid to shine your light on the world…. the world could use more of us shining our light instead of hiding it away.

You Gotta Love it!

I’ve been asked many times in my life .. “How do you do so much?” and “Why do I do so much?”

The answer is simple… “I LOVE IT!!”

 

I put a lot of time, effort,thought, blood, sweat and tears into creating and doing all the time… and it doesn’t matter .. to me it’s like breathing .. I love it and so it’s not work to me at all.

 

It’s my idea of fun… yeah I said …. F U N.. lol

 

When I create something new … it gives me great pleasure and when I share that creation with others I am even more pleasured by it .. and then if those I share it with also like it .. oh dear … watch out, because that is adding fuel to my fire and makes me want to do more and more and more and….. well you get the point.

 

It’s not a contest or a competition … expect with myself.. I like to see if I can … and when I do …. that fills me with great excitement and then I am off to see what else I can create.

 

I am in a sense in my own little world .. like a child with a new toy … checking it out to see what all it can do.

 

I am my own toy .. pushing to see what I can and can’t do .. and trust me there is plenty I can’t do .. lol.. I’m just not showing you those things..

 

I guess there are a few  things that contribute to all the creations..

~ I’m not afraid to try

~ I love it

~ I’m curious

~ It makes me happy

~ I’m not afraid of failure

~ Failing makes me try harder

~ Vision of what could be

~ Determination

~ Boredom!

~ Smiles… I love to see my creations bring smiles to others.

 

For me it’s ok to mess up .. it just gives me a chance to try again.

 

So what drives you?

I’m Letting Go

Hoping it will move on like yesterday’s rain

No longer does it have a place within
No more sadness .. I’m sending it away with the wind

The hurt is far more than I can bare
I’m washing it away like the grey in my hair

Happiness and light are welcome to stay
As for this pain … you can go and stay far far away

Leave me alone I don’t like how you make me feel
It seems harder each time to heal

I’m not your victim.. I’m not your prey
What more is there to say

Hurt and Pain … it’s you I really don’t like!
I don’t care if you leap, run, drive or take flight!

Just go now and take a hike!

Let go of the idea that you have to find your purpose as if you are not already living it.

We each have our own purpose and you may be surprised to find out that the purpose of life is the same for all of us.

It’s in living … living life well and becoming and being the best that we can.

We were born with love and in becoming who we are we struggle and sometimes think we have lost that love … we haven’t … it’s there… it’s waking up to realize that it never left us.. not for one second .. it was just waiting for us to notice.

It’s often hardest to see what’s right there in front of our faces.

Word of the day …. Magic!

What do you see.. feel ..or think … when you hear that word .. Magic ?

Me, I can’t help but smile.. for me so much comes to mind ..

I think of the full moon glowing so brightly in the midnight sky..
I see a golden sunset where the sky is full of magnificent colors..
I think of the sound of the leaves rustling on the ground in fall..
I see the country side filled with color suddenly when the winds change and the air cools in autumn..
I think of all the unseen around us ..
I think of the miracles that happen every day …
I see my children .. and remember the day they were born ..
It’s how I feel warm and fuzzy as my husband reaches out to hold my hand .. or when he brushes back my hair late at night..

It’s remembering the first kiss … his lips on mine and all the world fading away …
I think of all the dreams and wishes that have come and gone..
I feel my heart as it pounds when I lay my head on my husbands shoulder and inhale the scent I know as him and I am comforted and happy..

It’s winter’s first snow or spring’s first rain
It’s that four leaf clover you finally found
It’s being a kid and making snow angles on the ground

Magic to me is many things ..

It’s our song playing on the radio just as I was thinking of him
It’s letting go.. It’s opening up
It’s finding your place, your home.. your path
Its the laughter of a child
Its feeling free and going wild
Its in the trees, the flowers and all around
It’s fate It’s deja vu
It’s knowing
It’s in the shadows . .it’s in the light .. it’s throughout the day and even the night
It’s knowing when to stop or when to keep going on
It’s in your heart and in your soulIt’s a part of you ..
It’s something unexplainable.. just something you know.

It’s magic don’t you know!
