She said to him that she’s writing a story. The title, she says, is “The Woman with a Foolish Heart”. He then asks “is this a self reflection then?” She answers with a definite “yes” and then he replies with, “I presume this is past tense” and she says, “mostly” then he says something that changes her story all together. He replies with, “I challenge if it was your heart or mind that was foolish?” So this is where the story becomes changed from what she once believed to what she knows within her soul.
This woman you all must already know is me. The conversation as seen above, is real. The thoughts that filled my mind as I wrote down the title of this story were of memories. Memories of all the times my heart held out hope for a love that was real, only to become shattered with broken promises, denied love, affection and truth. I thought about my fears and prayed to Spirit to please not let me be fooled again. In writing this story it became clear… I was indeed reflecting within the mind and certainly not the heart. Memories and thoughts all coming from the mind of course… but what about my heart? What was in my heart then and what is in my heart right now? There is only one answer, “LOVE”.
The heart holds no fear, doubt, worry or anything other than love. Love is what the heart is for. With every beat there is only love within the heart. The mind would like us to “think” differently. The mind tells us to hold back when the heart says be free to love. The mind says fear is real but the heart says I love you still. This woman who thought she had a foolish heart, realized that it has always been the mind that was foolish. The heart is what it has always been and will always be… pure, unfiltered love. Just because love was given but not returned does not mean it wasn’t real.
My heart is unchanged by an unfortunate past, it still continues to love. I love more today than I have ever loved before. The past has not weaken my spirit, but made it stronger. There is a fairy tale still waiting to be written. It’s not about the knight on the white horse, about being rescued, about the castle or the ball or anything else the common fairy tale might seem. It’s about the dance of life between two people in the same agreement with their souls. Two people who compliment each other is such a way that there is balance and love that simply never ends. Two people unafraid to truly love each other and give of themselves without holding back and without condition. That is my fairy tale and I believe in it with all of my heart.
Now, I’m just going to sit here with my mouse friends next to this pumpkin and see what happens next 😉

A man of his word is not the same as a man of words. A man of words has all the right things to say and says them well and at all the right times but I am sad to tell you that words is all that you’ll ever truly get for that man. A man of his word is often silent, his words fewer than the previous… but what makes this man great is that his actions follow his words. He doesn’t say things just to be saying them. What he says, he means and he follows up with great intent and purpose.
In my younger days I confused the two. I thought surely that a man with so many words would mean what he says. I thought that all of these words meant that he put great thought into what he wants when in reality he was just talking to hear his own brain rattle.

The Full Moon in the month of May is known as The Hare Moon, the Flower or Planting Moon. It’s a time of health, love, romance, and wisdom. This is a great time to plant the seeds that you have empowered. As the seeds begin to grow, the energy you have filled them with will start to manifest in your life. It’s also a great time to rekindle the romantic spark and passion in a relationship. If you’ve been working magic to help your career, now will probably be the time to decide which of your job offers to accept.
And as usual.. don’t forget to place all your sacred tools, crystals and stones out so that they may soak up some of that full moon magic!

I’ll tell you who I am …. for one, I’m a mess! A great big, giant mess of a woman! I love way too much and believe in myself way too little. I have baggage, loads and loads of baggage. The good thing is, I know about the baggage I carry and I am always trying my best to lighten the load. I am forever working on being a better me. Always working toward resolving any issues I may have with myself or my past, always teaching myself new things and eager to grow in as many ways as I possibly can. I won’t lie though, some things scare me to death so I dare not say that I am fearless in any way. I worry all the time and quite often about things that will never happen. I am ever curious and some might say a bit crafty 😉 .
I love finding new ways to be creative and express myself in all forms of art. I have dabbled in painting, stained glass, lampwork, weaving, sewing, knitting, leather work, sculpting, prop building, photography and writing .. just to name a few. The act of visualizing something and then working with your hands to make this vision a reality is an exciting challenge I am always ready to take on. I don’t have to be the best at anything, I just try to be the best me and do my own personal best at whatever challenge I decide to take on. I land where I land, on top, in the middle or even sometimes at the bottom.. as long as I have felt like I did my best, it doesn’t matter where others may rank me.
I am a hopeless romantic, a dreamer of dreams and a believer in magic. Some might say that magic isn’t real, dreams are for the foolish and that romance never lasts…. I say, we each make our own magic, dreams are worth following and romance is exactly what the world needs. Romance, magic and dreams die only if we allow them to. In my world, these things are what keep me smiling and hoping. They are why I have never given up this fight for life, even when my world seemed to be falling apart… magic, dreams and romance kept me going. I know they exist. They are a part of my soul.
I laugh, I cry, I hurt, I love, I create, I learn, I teach, I care, I fear, I worry, I dream, I hope, I believe, I play, I stress, I get emotional, I joke around, I try many things, I never give up on something I believe in, I keep going when others have let go.
Well, now you know… this is me, Raventalker…. that crazy woman, with all that baggage, creating art and believing in the silliest of things.

I also want to take a moment to talk about personal talisman:
A talisman for those of you who don’t know, is an object which is believed to contain certain magical properties which would provide good luck for the possessor and possibly offer protection from evil or harm.
Many wear a particular charm, pendant or other piece of talisman… be sure to allow it to recharge from time to time. Take it off, lay it out in the sun or moonlight for a few hours or so, lay it on some Earth and or cleanse it with smudge, salt or water. Allow your talisman to communicate with you how best to cleanse it. Just like you .. it needs a time to rest, relax and recharge.
