Tonight I will speak about learning …..

Not just learning about the many variety of things in life but learning about self…..

Stepping back to watch … to clearly see yourself and how you behave and how you react to the situation in life.

How many times do we speak when we should have stayed quiet ?

How many times have we taken a leap when we should have stood still?

How many times did we think we saw something that just wasn’t there?

Oh there are so many ways that we learn about self… these are just a few ..

The key is to learn how to find that place in yourself where you can stop.. stand still for a moment and really look .. really see clearly .. so that we may not make that leap if it is not needed.. so that we may be able to keep our words quiet until they need to be heard .. and so that we may see things as they are and not how we think they are .. how fear would like us to see them or how we wish they were…

How do we do this? you may ask…. well……………….

Take a moment in your day to reflect on what you’ve done just that day … maybe earlier that morning .. or just minutes ago..

Reflect on your thoughts as you overheard a conversation and why you felt the way you did about the conversation or for that matter how you felt overhearing it instead of hearing it directly…

Reflect on how you answered the phone or drove your car …

Reflect on your own actions and feelings and not worry so much about those of others …

This is how we learn about ourselves.. finding out why we do or feel the things we do

Now that I’ve given you some food for thought … have a good night and sweet dreams

Wishful Thinking

Spirit whispers in my ear to send out a message today for all to be aware of wishful thinking .

I’m not speaking about the kind of “I wish I could win the lotto” kind of thinking.

I’m speaking about a way of thinking that turns things and situations into what you wish them to be … not what they are.

This happens often and most of us do this at some point in our lives … What Spirit asks is that you become aware of it.

Often, we see signs, it could be a word or phrase or even our lucky number or possibly even a certain animal that reminds us of something or someone particular.  Wishful thinking is when you push what you want onto that sign and make it be about what you want to happen instead of what the sign is really meant to be about.

We can want for something so badly that everything we see turns into a sign about that particular thing.  Later down the road when things don’t turn out as you thought or hoped for, you might say something like “but the signs….”

Well yes you were given signs …. But because of your “want” of something else you did not see what those signs were really for .. instead you made them out to be about what you wished them to be.

Spirit asks that you become more aware of doing this … he loves us all and wishes not for us to be left guessing at that point down the road.

The Dance of Life

Much has been said about life and music..

From all over you have heard words and phrases… comparing the two

Life is a dance …

One dances to the beat of his own drum…

Music is the poetry of the air…

If music be the food of love; play on…

So lets take that popular phrase “Life is a dance”

and if it is to be a dance … how do you place your feet?

What is the nature of your dance?

Do you stomp loud and boisterous through this life

or do you step gently and glide as if upon the wings of wind

Do you dance slow or fast ?

Do you swing across the floor of this life or hop ?

What is your dance?

What is the musical foundation of your dance?

It does not matter your style of dance so much as it matters the music within your soul.. and how you treat it.

Is it ignored or honored?

It’s your dance … your music .. your life

Live it well and dance with honor and love

Have You?

The Wind..
have you stepped outside and stood still just to feel the wind .. how it rushes by you and wraps its translucent arms around you .. have you allowed it to wipe clean all the negativity from your being .. and allowed it to take all that is not good away from you have you taken in the beauty of the wind and the freedom that it symbolizes. Have you?

The Rain
have you stood out in the rain lately and just allowed it to drench your soul.. let it wash over your body and wash away your worries.. your fears.. your sadness and your grief have you felt the rains watery embrace have you felt the beauty of the rain .. have you allowed the rain to fill you with love and nourishment have you taken in all that the rain symbolizes and gives .. have you?

The Sun
have you laid upon a bed of clover on a sunny day and allowed the suns rays to fill you with light.. from the inside out have you felt the suns warmth .. have you felt its warm embrace hold you and comfort you have you seen the beauty of the sun and all that it gives.. have you allowed the sun to help you grow like the flowers in the field .. the trees in the park and the roses in the garden .. have you?

The Moon
have you sat beneath the full moon and seen its beauty have you felt the magic .. the power the moon holds.. have you allowed the moon to embrace you and hold you within the dark night have you felt the moons love .. have you been witness to the many gifts the moon allows.. have you?

Have YOU?
Have you felt what the world around you gives? Do you know of the magic that surrounds us all? Have you listened to the world and have you heard the secrets the earth whispers in your ears .. ? Can you feel its energy? Do you know the love?

Even tho so ignored by most .. the Earth , she still gives.. she still loves..
many take and take and take .. and yet never even think of giving back or even to say thank you .. She has no breaks no vacations.. no pay and no acknowledgment .. but yet she continues to give.. continues to care and continues to take care of all the children that play upon her surface..

Today take a minute and think about what you do .. think about how you would feel if so mistreated and ignored

Every Day

Everyday we have choices …

We can choose to be happy .. to be sad.. to be angry.. withdrawn… open.. loving.. selfish… bitter… caring … and the list goes on.

We can choose to stand for what we believe in or we can let others take the lead.

We can take charge of our own lives or let life take charge of us.

We can give in, let go, hold on, or fight.

Each day we have a choice and we can make that day what we wish it to be if we choose so.

The choice is yours.

My mind wanders and I drift into dream
Letting go of the hurt and pain that makes me want to scream

I imagine myself wrapped within a golden light
Safe from all that may harm through out the day and even the night

Drifting along upon a raven’s wing
I am calmed by the song of magick my soul does sing

A song of mystery from ancient times
Listen close and you too shall hear as the wind blows through the distant chimes

The Spirit knows and the Spirit does see
The secrets are gathered and placed safely inside me

From the Earth, the moon the sun and the stars
The magick flows, held back by neither stone wall nor bars

Like the river, I flow with the current of magick’s light
As one with all.. morning, noon and night

Feel me with nothing less than perfect trust and perfect love
Feel me as I pass by you and the moon above

Know me and know my heart
Know my love, my magick and my every part

Know the mysteries and the secrets I tell
Know the wonders of life and how it began
When from the heavens a princess fell
