Watch Your Words

What we believe sets the tone for our life path. As we grow and age and have experiences our beliefs change, sometimes to the extreme and sometimes slightly.   The words we tell ourselves and others effect all aspects of our lives and can either boost or limit our potential. The great thing is that we are in control of the words we use. We can build ourselves up or tear ourselves down. We can tap into our own unlimited potential or we can limit ourselves with our beliefs… the choice is ours. 

HARD FACTS – Pay Attention

A friend once asked me how to explain to others how being in awareness of your own abilities can bring you into a better place. Even though we all have abilities, most like to stay in their safe place so that they don’t feel vulnerable.

My Response: Most people are afraid to question what they were always taught to believe … so they fight with themselves, second guessing what they feel inside to be true. Your soul already knows where you are going and what you should do, but most people fight with their own souls because they were taught something else.
Don’t get too caught up in the meanings other people, websites or books give you, you can listen to them, take them in and make note but don’t let that be what guides you. You have to always listen to your own inner knowing… your own soul.

The more we trust, the more our lives will come together in a much more peaceful way.

Inside This Circle

I wrote this poem back in 2012. I have since done a little rearranging to turn it into a song.

INSIDE THIS CIRCLE
Inside this circle the transformation begins
the drums beating out a rhythmic sound
Feel the magic as it vibrates up from this sacred ground

With great intent we enter into a realm of light
Dancing until the day becomes night

From what we once were to what we shall become
The ancient voices begin to hum

Our ancestors gather from far and near
Whispering change upon our ear

Nudging us forward in a positive light
Dancing to and fro with all our might

Our souls begin to sing a new song
Placing us upon our path, right where we belong 

Echos of what we once were released into the fire
Spirit lifts us higher and higher 

Letting go and allowing something new
Over this circle the winged ones flew.

The four legged gathered all around
Keeping the circle safe and sound.

And with the final dance and a chant or two
The transformation has granted us a brand new view.

LOST, BUT RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU

If you have been following me for a while you’ll know when I wrote this one. It was many years ago when I was in a marriage that was probably the most unhealthy and toxic. I had to fight every day to maintain my sense of self. Nothing about that time in my life made sense. Thank goodness I am lifetimes away from all that now!

When everyone else has let go…

I took this photo back in 2012. At first I thought nothing of it .. just thought the color was awesome and it was the last of the summer blooms that we will be seeing this year. When I got home and downloaded it off my camera … I paused and looked at it a bit longer. My first thought was of the old saying “He loves me, He loves me not”… and I thought to myself.. I will label this photo… “He loves me”. So I posted it on my facebook wall and went about my business posting a few other things and liking a post here and there … supporting my friends and then I came back around to the photo. Again, I paused and just starred for a moment. There was something about this rose that I was connecting to and I wasn’t quite sure what that was. Suddenly, the answer was clear and this phrase came from the tips of my fingers as I began to type out a new caption for it: “When everyone else has let go…You will find me still holding on”. This pretty much sums up my life in a single phase… When everyone else has let go.. You will find me still holding on. Always believing in the possibilities ahead.. always carrying hope of better days .. always holding on for whatever is to come… determined not to give up… still holding on.

Spiritual Symbolism of the Bird Grasshopper

Here are a few things you may or may have not heard about grasshoppers. Grasshoppers can only leap forward, never backward. They symbolize a “Leap of Faith” and courage along with adaptability and flexibility, since they can thrive in all kinds of environments. They represent patience and timing. Being in the right place at the wrong time is a terrible travesty. In many cultures they are seen as good fortune and prosperity, often seen as positive change on the way. They also represent transformation and growth, which is what we all need right now. The next time you see a grasshopper, think of their symbolism.

What Changed?

This is a stitch with Ms. Crone on Tiktok. She asked the question “What changed?”. Here’s my answer which follows along with today’s earlier video. It’s time to start showing up for yourself. You have showed up for everyone else the majority of your life. You deserve the same attention, the same focus and the same love. It’s your turn!

Your Healing = Their Trigger

Here’s a sad truth for you. For some, your healing will be a trigger. The healing they see in you, can often be healing they need as well but for whatever their reason may be, they don’t do the work to heal. When people aren’t ready to heal or change, the outcome can often be anger, jealousy, resentment and even bullying. You should continue to heal anyway and keep your distance for those people.

The Healing Truth

What happened between then and now that took me from the old version of myself to this person I am today? I use to be a people pleaser that put up with way too much toxic and negative energy from everyone around me.

When negativity or toxic energy shows up at my door now, I show it right back out that door. It took years of trying to help everyone else, trying to heal everyone else, trying to make everyone else happy, to realize that isn’t what I needed to do. I stopped worrying so much about everyone else and started focusing on me. I needed to “fix” me, heal me. Once I shifted that focus from them to me, EVERYTHING CHANGED!

It doesn’t matter how good you are to others, it doesn’t matter how much you do for others… people change when they want to change. It has nothing at all to do with you. If you are one of those people like I use to be, make that shift to yourself and see what happens. It’s amazing … one might even say MAGICAL!

Climbing the Wall

This was a vision I had several years ago and still holds as a great reminder now…

Many things went on in this vision but what stood out most for me was a moment about climbing a wall..
I was in this large brick building .. really huge… seemed vey open
Some guy came along and was showing off what he could do.. he jumped onto the wall and was scaling the wall with bare hands and feet ..  I said to him … I can do that .. and began scaling the wall as well..
I thought to myself … of course he can go higher than me .. he’s much stronger than me…
I continued to climb for the sake of climbing …. as he just bounced all over the place showing off
Suddenly I realized I could as well climb just as high… but I didn’t … I kept that to myself and just let him show off
It was enough for me to know I could. I smiled to myself.
Once I came to the realization that I could do it .. I climbed down and landed my feet firmly on the ground… dusted off my hands and went about my business. With a smile of knowing inside me.
You see sometimes that’s all it takes… realizing that we can do something that we once thought we couldn’t.
Once you know you can.. you choose to do or not to do .. you don’t just not do it because you “think” it can’t be done…
The power of knowing is a great thing and can change your world completely.
